Comment : I trusted this shop because my friend recommended it, and I even came back here again for what should have been a simple state inspection. This time, however, I learned a very hard lesson.

They charged me $129.50 for what was supposed to be just the inspection and a $7 car key battery replacement. The explanation they gave was that they “handled the car for over 30 minutes” and counted that as labor. In all my 16 years living in Boston, I’ve never experienced anything like this at an inspection station.

What should have been routine turned into a day of frustration and shock. I expected professionalism and fairness, but this felt like an unreasonable charge for such a basic service.
