This place has had my car for over 2 months, this is even after having an appointment for 3 weeks. My husband has called several times every week and there is always an excuse. For the past month the excuse is "it will be fixed the first part of next week." At first it was issues with employees and now it seems to be issue after issue arising with my car. They fix one thing and then another issue arises. I have tried to be understanding but I feel like over two months has been gracious. I don't just want my car back, I NEED it! I was supposed to go out of town this weekend and now I have to change plans, again... 1 Reviews Adrian jenkins Chubbuck , ID Reviewed : 08/29/2025 Comment : Never had a bad experience with them. The owner is very knowledgeable, the techs and office manager are experienced and knowledgeable. I’d bring my vehicles here to that point, I’d go as far as to recommend Wally’s to my own mother, sister and other loved ones. 1 Reviews Brian christiansen Chubbuck , ID Reviewed : 08/28/2025 Comment : Dishonest and incompetent! Took my payment knowing that they broke the part during installation. Paid more for a better part and they used the broken part. Now I get to pay another shop to do the same repairs 1 Reviews William myers Chubbuck , ID Reviewed : 08/21/2025 Comment : Heart breaking to write this review, as I've written multiple positive reviews for Wally's Automotive since 2009. We have been customers since 2009 and had tons of work done there over the years and always been pleased with their work, experienced great customer service and pricing has always been fair. I 'm writting this review because the last 3 visits have not been the same. The last 3 visits it took over a week past our scheduled date for work to start on our vehicle. I would call to check on it and would be given an excuse and told they would get it in the next day and when I checked the following day I would get the same thing. For 2 visits we put up with it as experienced customers giving them the benefit and understanding things happen we balanced it with our multiple positive experiences. So we took our son's Nissan pick-up there again last week and experienced the same stuff to the point after a week and 3 phone calls we picked the truck up today without any work being completed. This is too much. I don't know if Tony still owns and operates it, or if they just have new employees but the customer service is awful. This is not same Wally's Automotive it was over the last 15 years. It breaks my heart to write this but I would not recommend anyone taking their vehicle there anymore. If you do, you should expect your vehicle to sit for a week and pray you get Tony as the mechanic that works on because other techs are not up to par. I hope they can get things fixed but they have lost our families business. I doubt they care as when I talked to them today on the phone and picked up my vehicle they didn't seem to care too much about losing our business. 1 Reviews Rebecca delostia Chubbuck , ID Reviewed : 06/28/2025 Comment : 1 Reviews Kimberly christensen Chubbuck , ID Reviewed : 06/11/2025 Comment : 1 Reviews Bbb Chubbuck , ID Reviewed : 05/29/2025 Comment : My car went in to switch out the oil pan only. It came back broken with no power steering, a broken water pump, the battery terminal post grinded down. The brand-new pan Tony (Owner) and Eric installed had 3 leaks from it. That new oil pan was grinded down from the inside to induce the leak to seep between the seams and I just paid them to do it for $1300. The steering wheel rack boot was pushed to the side causing a major leak. Tony wanted $800 for it and he said, “It was gone!” I just chose to replace the boot clamps instead. My water pump came back with a major leak also. It appeared they decided to strip out 3 bolts to make the pump become loose causing the leak. My water pump was just installed 1 year ago. My battery negative post was grinded down to cause a loose connection activating a “Battery Service Light” warning. My battery was just installed less than 6 months ago by myself. It was not grinded down because my new battery connectors was brand new and it went on with a snug fit and was only 3 months old. 1 Reviews Sara bulla Chubbuck , ID They had my van for over a week, during which time I had to get a rental van which cost over $1,000. Then the repairs themselves were about $5,000!! Then when I got it back- it ran ok for a couple of months, but then once again started to shake when I pressed on the brakes. I called Wally's but did NOT want to go back in case they charged me another $5,000. So I got it fixed for a couple hundred dollars somewhere else and it worked great! That price tag of $5000 and some change was so high!! But they promised and assured me that while these repairs were extensive, I now basically 'had a new engine' and could rest assured that it would last for years and yearsFast forward to today. My van started smoking and I took it to a place that I now trust. They told me all the things that are going wrong and 90% of them are the same things I got 'fixed' and 'replaced with new parts' at Wally's just 3 years ago.The mechanic who I trust said the repair would be $6,000 - basically a new engine. So what happened with my new engine I bought at Wally's??? We haven't been in any accidents since we had it fixed at Wallys. So why didn't my 'new engine' last longer'??I have zero confidence or trust in Wally's. I am a single mom who pinches every penny twice. I feel like I was taken advantage of and it makes me sick that I trusted them.'> Reviewed : 04/19/2025 Comment : I wouldn't bring your car here. I brought my van in 3 years ago. I was new to Pocatello and saw that Wally's had good reviews. My car was running fine- but I was concerned about some shaking when I pressed the brakes. Anyway, they had a list a mile long of things that needed fixing (It wasnt too old...our van is a 2016). When I declined, and requested they just fix the shaking problem, a women there talked about how the safety of my family might be in jeopardy if I didn't make the repairs. They said how serious the problems were. I am at fault for listening to her- I mean, I definitely didn't want to to endanger my family! But I should have got a second opinion. They had my van for over a week, during which time I had to get a rental van which cost over $1,000. Then the repairs themselves were about $5,000!! I work as a service advisor for a luxury shop in salt lake city, i am going to purchase a car in the chubbuck area and I needed another shop to get me an inspection since I could not complete it at my shop due to distance. Wally got me on the schedule with only 2 days advance, and got the ppi done in a efficient time. He gave me an informative inspection and took the time to speak with me about the vehicle after. Both me and the seller of the car who dropped it off had a great experience, and received fantastic customer service. I have worked in the industry for years and I know a honest shop when I see one, best of regards. 1 Reviews Max young Chubbuck , ID Reviewed : 03/06/2025 Comment : I would strongly advise against bringing your vehicles to Tony & Wally’s Automotive. We brought two trucks in for repairs, and what followed was an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. Our trucks were left with Tony for months, which ultimately put our business in jeopardy. Throughout this process, communication was nearly nonexistent. What made matters worse was that Tony began fixing things that were never authorized, leading to a list of issues upon getting our trucks back. The trucks were returned with parts flying off, tires rubbing, broken dash clusters, leaking hoses, and many other problems. All of this came with a hefty bill of $4,000, but instead of taking responsibility, Tony refused to offer any kind of refund or resolution, vehicles always brought into him on a full tank and always returned with gas lights on.As a result, we are now forced to involve an attorney to try and get this situation corrected. Please avoid Tony @ Wally’s Automotive if you value your time, money, and the integrity of your vehicles. There’s a strong chance your vehicle will return in worse condition than when you left it, with little to no communication throughout the process Page 1 of 3 |<< 1 2 3 → >|
