Comment : I feel it’s important to write a review so others do not have to waste their time as I did.

After being recommended by several people, I called and made an appointment in late February 2026. The first appointment was April 9th, so I waited a month and a half to get in. I explained the problem on the initial call to Tony, the owner. (4WD not engaging)

I dropped it off on the morning of April 9th, I spoke to Tony again and re-explained the problem since it appeared he had forgotten our prior conversation. He said he would take a look and he would let me know what he found.

I didn’t hear anything for days, so on Monday the 13th, I called before they closed and asked on the status. I spoke to another employee who said they would have Tony call me back. He did not call back.

The next day, Tuesday the 14th, I called mid-day and asked to speak to Tony. Once again, I was told he would call me back. No updates were available for the status of my vehicle. Tony called me back about an hour later and said he didn’t have much time because he had to take a family member to an appointment. When I asked what he had found with my truck, he asked me again what was wrong with it. I explained the problem for the 3rd time. He said he’d play around with it and get back to me. I did not hear back.

I gave him all day Wednesday without interrupting him. Thursday the 16th I called first thing in the morning to see if they had any updates. I spoke to the same employee who said Tony was unavailable and would have to call me back. I waited another hour and half, then called them back asking to talk to Tony. A different employee answered and said he was still unavailable so I said I wanted to pick up my truck. He sounded surprised and asked me to wait a minute. He returned to the phone and said my truck was still in one piece and I could pick it up.

I went to the shop and told the employee I was there to pick up my vehicle. I did not see Tony. She walked out to my vehicle and removed a paper number tag from inside and handed me the keys. No apologies or explanations.

When I got in my truck, it smelled of transmission fluid, it still does almost a week later. I scrubbed my floor mats and cleaned the surfaces, it still smells.

Those are the facts as best as I can remember them. I don’t know if he’s having some personal issues, but this was unacceptable. If he was backed up with other work, he should have just told me to bring it back later or simply that he couldn’t help me. Being without my vehicle for a week obviously creates hardships as well. Now I’m back to square one looking for a mechanic to fix the problem.

If you need transmission work, there are others in the Eugene area that have got to be better than the customer service I received.

Comment : Was on a trip to Eugene to pick up supplies from the Coast. We were towing a 14 foot trailer and there was a loud bang and sounded like the transmission blew up! We called Transmission Solutions and said it was an emergency and the situation.

The owner got us in and did a full inspection check on the trans and we found out it was the differential, and that we could get back to the Coast if we took it easy. But will need a new differential soon.

This is the type of business, and people everyone should support.. Even though he was booked solid with at least 20 other vehicles the owner opened his doors in a dire emergency to help when no one else would.

We called 2 other places before Transmission Solutions and they wouldn't give us the time of day! Thank you for your service and I will gladly support your business and tell everyone what outstanding business practices and people that you are..

Comment : Nobody likes getting to this point. They were suggested to me by my mechanic. From first communication to the end. Very nice and thorough. I felt like they did a great job. Put up with my questions and kept me up to date. Yes, the appointments are out there, but replacement are not fast. Appreciate all their time and care.

Comment : Penny, Tony, Stefan and the rest of the crew are genuinely great people. My family had transmission issues while traveling through Eugene. They did an excellent job of getting us fixed up and back on the road.
But, that’s not all they did! We felt welcomed like family. Penny has a kind warm personality that relaxed our entire crew. Tony went over the top to make sure all the work was right and we were safe to get back on the road. Stefan worked quickly, confidently and did beyond what was asked. Ken even gave us a hot tip on the best fish and chips spot on the coast. Thank you all from all of us!
