Comment : My car had a battery connection issue that was pretty obvious: move the cables one way and the lights came on; move them another way and everything went dark. I tried tightening the clamp myself, but it wouldn't stay secure. Then I noticed what looked like frayed copper wiring and started worrying that the whole cable might need replacing. I wanted it fixed so I wouldn't have to deal with it again.

I called, and they suggested bringing it in so they could take a look before replacing anything. I arrived a few minutes later, and they put a tech on it right away. Within 20 minutes, he had identified the felt corrosion rings as the problem. He explained that they were interfering with the clamp's fit on my battery and removed them.

When I asked about the wiring, he walked back out with me, opened the hood, and explained that the cable was fine—it just wasn't especially pretty. Apparently, Toyota builds for function over looks. That put my mind at ease.

From the initial phone call to driving away, the whole thing took less than an hour. When I asked what I owed, they said nothing and handed me the keys.

It may have been a simple fix, but the quick service, clear explanation, and honesty made a real impression. Thanks for fixing the problem without selling me something I didn't need—and for saving me from my own amateur diagnosis!

Comment : I brought my xterra in to total true auto to have the bank 1 camshaft position sensor replaced, it had a code 340. I had already replaced the bank 2 sensor on my own I explained this to the "salesman" up front. after spending 200.00 on many unnecessary diagnostics I was told it needed both camshaft position sensors and the crankshaft position sensor. I was also told it needed a cabin airfilter. my car does not have a cabin airfilter. I was given a quote of about 1,400$. yesterday, the 16th I replaced the bank 1 camshaft position sensor my self, it took me about 2 hours, however the car runs great, no codes and cost me about 40$ in parts, plus the wasted 200 i gave to total true for the indepth diagnostic i never asked for. So, no I'm not happy with the service I received, I'm quite sure I was being upsold on unnecessary repairs. I def do not recommend, you will pay more than needed for sure

Comment : OVERPRICED — I will say the crew is very nice however, I took it somewhere to get another opinion and was informed that my engine cover was broken which I had no idea about and I had just went to Total True Automotive Landa for the 3rd time to resolve an issue they caused. Spent 3600 for repairs and my serpentine belt NEVER made a sound until this place touched it. Came back under warranty because my car now made a sound when I start it up, they found no issues with the belt, and I trusted them and the sound went away. The sound popped back up. Took a third time, got charged with diagnostic fee and they didn't check where the squeaking sound is coming, came to pick it up and turns out they didn't even check that issue. But they for sure didn't forget to quote me another 3 grand to resolve the “sound” issue!! Im more upset about my engine cover being broken because I take care of this car and I trusted they would do the same. Now Im having the same work re-done at another place because it was not done properly the first time for the fraction of the cost, support your small local mechanics instead people!!!!

Comment : Great Staff! Nick was very helpful on the maintenance I needed for my FJ Cruiser and also recommended a water pump and axel seal replacement with photos verifying that it needs repair. Highly recommend them!
