I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I recently received at your facility. While I found your tire pricing to be fair and the quality of the alignment work satisfactory, the lack of internal communication and failure to follow specific instructions have resulted in a significant loss of value for me as a customer.

The Issue: Failure to Follow Service Instructions
My instructions for the tire service were specific:
The "good tires" currently on the rear were to be moved to the "front".
Two "new tires" were purchased from TIRE MART and installed on the "rear".
The worn front tires (which had inside wear due to faulty struts) were to be "disposed of".

Instead, your team disposed of my good tires, moved the worn tires with inside tread damage to the rear, and placed the brand-new tires on the front. I only discovered this error two months later during a visit to my original mechanic. Because your team also replaced the front struts and performed an alignment, the decision to keep the damaged tires on the vehicle was not only a breach of my instructions but also a counterproductive repair.
1 Communication Breakdown
It appears there is a significant disconnect between your front counter staff and the mechanics in the shop. Whether this is due to a lack of automotive knowledge at the counter or a simple lack of care, the result was a service that did not meet the requested specifications. When a customer pays for a "set" of repairs, they expect the staff to understand the mechanics of the job they are invoicing.
2 Financial Inconvenience
Furthermore, I found the 3-4% surcharge on credit card transactions to be a significant deterrent. On a bill exceeding $900, this is not a negligible fee. In an industry where repairs and parts are expensive, treating a professional shop like a "cash-only" business is highly inconvenient for the customer and lacks the professional standard I expected.
My Conclusion
As a result of this experience?specifically the loss of my good tires and the frustration of having to double-check basic instructions?I will no longer be bringing my vehicle to your shop. I believe in "getting clarity and asking questions," but that responsibility also falls on your staff to ensure they are executing a customer?s request accurately.

I am providing this feedback for your awareness, though I recognize it may not change your operational model. In an industry where many customers lack technical knowledge and rely entirely on a shop's integrity, a business like yours will likely always have customers. However, as a customer who does understand the work being performed, I find this experience disqualifying.

You have lost a client who was willing to invest significant money into their vehicle at your establishment. I hope this serves as a reminder that "clarity" is a two-way street, and your staff must be more diligent in understanding and executing customer requests.

Comment : I've been going to Tire Mart for at least 18 years. They have never pressured me into purchasing services or repairs I didn't want, and they routinely come in under the estimated cost at checkout. I highly recommend Tire Mart if you're looking for honesty and integrity when it comes to servicing your vehicle.

Comment : Always had some of the best prices on Continental tires. Also, they’ve always gave me super fair pricing on every car I’ve taken in there which has been at least five different cars at this point over the last five years. And they have loaners if you schedule an appointment early enough. The staff is super friendly and recognizes you.
