Comment : Tech One Automotive on Burnet Rd in Austin sets itself apart from any other automotive shop. From the awesome staff to the most beautiful waiting room that is stocked with sodas, coffee, water and Even snacks!!!! This shop even schedules Uber rides to and from the facility. I heard if it is a longer repair they actually will loan you a vehicle while your car is getting repaired so you can still go to work. I feel like I found my forever automotive shop. The young lady Carissa answered the phone with so much love in her voice you couldn’t help but smile right back. Her knowledge in the automotive industry is impressive. All of the team members are so welcoming. Look no further this is definitely the best shop around.

Comment : If I'd written this review a year ago it would have been 5-star, but I no longer trust this shop and I believe they are exploiting their customers.

I came in for a routine oil change and inspection, and to my surprise I got a call that the radiator was cracked and it would be $1700 to have it replaced. I hadn't had any issues with the cooling system driving there or in the days before, but suddenly after a few hours in their shop the radiator was busted and it couldn't even drive a quarter mile without overheating and spewing steam out from under the hood.

I tried calling them out on it and they agreed to take another look, and insisted that it was just "bad luck" that the radiator failed at the exact same moment that i pulled into the shop. They offered a $50 mailer discount, somewhat tempered by the fact that they also charged me twice for coolant (both at different prices for some reason) despite a bottle of coolant sitting in the passengers seat.

I don't believe it's possible to have driven a Subaru STI at highway speeds with a cracked radiator and not overheat the engine within minutes, but this is exactly what the techs at Tech One told me must have happened. If they'd just admitted to a mistake and fixed it I'd cut them some slack, but unfortunately that is not what happened.

I've been a customer for 14 years and this is the last time I'll bring my car into one of their shops.

Comment : Got an oil change at Tech One Automotive and they were quick and efficient. They also provided a detailed inspection report, which I really appreciated. Isaiah was great with communication and made the whole process smooth.
