Comment : Absolutely terrible experience with this shop.
I brought my 2012 Volvo S60 in for a diagnostic, and instead of actually diagnosing anything, they charged me $111+ to write down ?spark plugs? and call it a day. No breakdown of codes, no explanation, no identification of which O2 sensor, and completely ignored the front suspension issues I specifically asked about.
This wasn?t a diagnostic ? it was a lazy guess with a price tag.
If you?re going to charge people for professional expertise, then actually provide it. Writing a generic part name on an invoice without evidence or detail is not acceptable. It feels like they did the bare minimum just to bill for time.
Save your money and go somewhere that actually takes the time to properly inspect and explain what?s wrong with your vehicle.

Comment : I had a great experience with the team at The Swedish Solution. Their communication was excellent throughout the entire process. They diagnosed the issue quickly and sent over pictures of the work needed, which provided a level of transparency you don't often find. The turnaround was very fast, and having a loaner car available made the whole experience incredibly convenient. Highly recommend!

Comment : I brought in my 2018 Audi for a second opinion after the dealership quote me 5800$ for a new timing system for the engine. Turns out it was just low on oil. Dylan was honest, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I went in there telling the team that I likely needed a new timing chain, but they ran their own diagnostic tests and figured out the real problem.

Comment : This was the first visit to Christian Brothers Automotive Westinghouse Road. I made an appointment and requested oil change, state inspection, air and cabin air filters. Dropped the car off and meet with Lance the Service manager. Gave me an estimate and told me they would contact be when vehicle was ready as well as send me updates which it was being service. They sent me texts letting me know the vehicle was in the shop, it passed inspection, oil was changed using synthetic oil, waiting for cabin air filter. I had received a text with a photo letting me know that the engine air filter looked brand new. I usually keep track of things like that but fail to note that I had recently replaced the air filter, my error. When I picked up the vehicle, the air filter charge had been removed. The service was outstanding. If you are looking for a professional, honest, competent, friendly auto service shop, choose CBA, you will be pleasantly surprised. My biggest regret is that it took me so long to find them.

Credit Card surcharge... 31/2%...
First: I have been taking cars to this shop for at least 15 years. When Frank was there everything went smooth. I always paid with a credit card. No Problem. This last week I had my Daughter bring her Jeep in for service, it has been in this shop before. It needed a bunch of work.
At NO Time during the estimate or while they were doing the work was I told that if I pay with a Credit Card I would be charged a 3.5% surcharge. That would have added $135.00 to the cost of the repairs.
They then said I could pay with Venmo. Problem, they have a business profile on Venmo. Venmo, by default, adds purchase protection when paying a Business profile. They received $72.37 less because Venmo charges the seller for this. They would not release my daughter's Jeep.
According to them, I selected purchase protection. Truth, I didn't even know it was there, I didn't see it, I did Not select it.
Now we have to go Refund. 7 more days they hang onto my daughters vehicle.
This is not about the work their Mechanics do. They do good work. It's their billing system. They changed it so it, in my opinion, robs the customer.

Questions to answer:
1. At anytime did your business tell me in advance about the 3.5% surcharge on CC... answer No
2. With Venmo.. Did you say anything about their protection plan.. Answer No
3. I did not withhold payment.. I paid you in Full through Venmo.. Did you or did you not reject that payment.. Answer Yes you did
4. How long did it take to refund that payment and did you return all of it. Answer it took 6 days for it to clear and No you didn't even though you stated the service charge would be refunded.
Your excuse is other businesses do it. Who else adds 3.5% to the total bill? Please Name them. None that I know of. They just choose better ways to have their CC payment processed.
