Comment : After being told I needed a new transmission from a different shop, the staff at Superior Automotive diagnosed the issue and immediately identified that the vehicle was misfiring and needed a tune up. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. Would recommend Superior Automotive to anyone looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

Comment : Superior Automotive replaced the valve cover gasket in my 2016 Mazda 6. They were able to give me an accurate quote over the phone, the work was performed right and finished when promised . (They were approximately 50% less expensive than the dealer). I found them to be professional, responsive and easy to work with.

Comment : brought my inifniti there for check engine light...2 days later the car still had not been looked at. then the front desk guy - andrew said he had to get someone who specializes in reprogramming a ECM. he was very contradicting, stating the guy came out and then said he had to road test it and then have the guy come back out again. road testing is when the car is done. didnt add up. car sat for two days, they only scanned it, which is NOT a diagnosis. I went to pick up my car as I was tired of the run around and they still charged me for a diagnosis for scanning my car. this place is good for oil changes and tire rotation, NOTHING MORE.

Had a known coolant leak that they fixed in a time crunch before long weekend.

Big thanks to Andrew for finding/fixing an issue I had with my heater without me even need to ask - they even did it free of charge because the warranty company refused to help with the coolant system.

Comment : Excellent experience! After my Volvo mechanic of 25 years retired, I was anxious to find another Provider with similar work ethic and customer care. To indicate how cautious I was being, this business is 30 mins away but their reviews stood out. One of them also sounded like they used the same guy I had. .
I called , asked specifically if they worked on Volvo's and explained my issue. We set up an appointment for the initial review. That went very satisfactorily. Andrew explained what the technician had found, the proposed plan of action and what would need to be ordered in parts. Any questions/concerns were addressed in full.
By the end of the week, I was provided the estimated delivery timeframe and cost (parts/labor). Once received, the appt was made for the actual work. That appointment went without exception.
Even though it's a 30 min drive for me to have my car serviced here, I'm quite satisfied in saying I found my new Service Provider. - C.V. Freehold

I had an excellent experience with Superior Automotive! My vehicle had a serious engine issue, and they handled the entire process with professionalism, transparency, and top-notch skill. From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain exactly what needed to be done.

They diagnosed the problem quickly, gave me a fair and detailed estimate, and kept me updated throughout the repair. The turnaround time was better than expected, and when I got my car back, it ran better than it has in years. You can tell they take pride in their work — everything was clean, precise, and done right the first time.

It’s hard to find a mechanic you can fully trust, but Superior has absolutely earned my confidence. I highly recommend them for anyone needing reliable and honest engine repair or any other auto service. Thank you again to the whole team!

Comment : My husband took my 1965 Mustang there for an alignment and wheel balancing.

Was told my driver’s side tie rods wouldn’t hold an adjustment and I’d need new inner and outer tie rod ends and a sleeve for that side.

They quoted some $200 to just replace the driver’s side inner and outer tie rods, plus the $100 or so for the alignment.

Typical service. Totally expected based on the age of the car, except…

Whenever you talk front end part replacement, you do both sides, not just one.

Here’s where it went bad…

🚩: Said I had to supply my own parts. Like bringing my own eggs to the diner.

🚩: They did the wheel balancing, despite no alignment being done. Wheel balancing comes after an alignment. Charged $75.

🚩: They let my husband drive the car home with a loose bolt on the driver’s side tie rod sleeve. Dangerous.
That bolt and sleeve were tight the week before (I was working on the exhaust fabrication on a lift and checked for play).

🚩: They left huge grease stains on my floor mat and front bumper and the rubber on the brake pedal was loose and fell off.

I spent a lot of time and money on this interior. Hell no, you will not disrespect it.

🚩: No one answered my husband’s reply texts and photos about the grease stains.

If you don’t have knowledgeable staff to work on a classic car, then don’t accept work on a classic car. Simple as that.

I wouldn’t even take my Huffy to you guys. Probably come back with a greasy seat and all the bolts loose, but I bet the tires would be balanced!

Don’t go here. There are better shops in the area, even for your newer cars and daily drivers.
