My vehicle was in a accident on july 21st and was brought to superior auto for the repair. I was told the repair would take approximately 3 weeks. However, the repair not only took over 2 months but Tom jr refused to come to a agreement with the insurance company. This is a insurance company that comes to a agreement with a shop 96 percent of the time I might add. I was forced to pay over 7k dollars out of pocket due to mistakes made on Tom jrs part. Tom Jr had claimed that the insurance wouldn’t cover parts like clips etc that were required to do the repair properly. How a bunch of plastic clips and seals adds up to over 7k dollars, I dont know. I was given 3 different final invoices, not a single one of which was the same. Prices higher on this one or that , things removed from one but the price remained the same due to labor marked up. Now not only was there the issue of the bill but the quality of work was some of the worst I have ever seen. There is still a dent in the side of my truck, clear coat sprayed over chipped paint with rust, the entire harness just left hanging, seals not installed properly, loose bumper bolts, license plate lights literally fell out closing my tail gate, I could go on and on. I am not a picky person either, honestly a very easy customer. This was just shoty work, plain and simple. I will never go near this place, will warn everyone I know to steer clear. Tom Jr and his father are crooks, no if ands or buts about it. I hope this review helps someone from going through what I experienced. The team was just stellar in diagnosing the problem, working out a fair price and preparing paperwork and photos I needed to email for reimbursement. Patient and accommodating through the whole ordeal. Next time I buy a used car I will bring it to Superior right away for inspection before warranty is up. My family and I have used Superior Auto-Westbrook Several times over the last two years. They are able to effectively communicate with auto insurance companies and advocate for their clients. They have great communication skills and have kept us up-to-date on every aspect of our vehicles’ repairs. They’ve done excellent work and go above and beyond repairing all our vehicles. I brought my vehicle to superior auto after a collision accident. I got a good vibe off Tom jr initially and decided to allow them to perform the work. From the start, my insurance company said there were issues with the things Tom jr was billing for. I made the mistake in taking Tom jr at his word. Now here we are 2 months later and the insurance company has paid him. However there is a 9k dollar difference in the bill of what the insurance swears is not necessary charges. Mind you this is a insurance company that comes to a agreement with a autobody shop 95 percent of the time where it is little to no money out of pocket for the customer. I offered to pay 4k and max out a credit card and pay the rest over time, this was refused. I have been told my vehicle will not be returned until the 9k dollar difference that insurance did not pay is paid in full. I have been out of my vehicle for more than 2 months now and looks like it will be another 2 months with legal action now taking place. Tom jr seems like a great guy but dont let him fool you. He will not admit mistakes made and blame everyone else over just taking responsibility. They refuse to be reasonable or even work with me. I have been trust passed from the property after a dispute with tom jr and I will admit , I was wrong but we are still left with my vehicle and the need to resolve the issue. Tom, I will gladly remove this review when this is peacefully resolved.
