Comment : I was in a tough spot like most of us nowadays and had quite a budget. The brakes on my car went completely out and I was up .... creek without a paddle. I got my car towed here after calling everywhere in lakeway, and Philip took care of me from the moment it arrived. Told him what my budget was out of the gate and he worked with me on the price of a full repair.He was more than reasonable and the team went above and beyond to get me mobile again. I work in healthcare and am a veteran, being taken care of as well as this team did for me, I will absolutely be going here with any further car issues in the future. Comment : Extremely overpriced. I went in due to a check engine light. First charged me $400 for a diagnostic fee only. The code reader said I needed a new vvt valve which is ~$50 online. He then said I needed about 3 other parts replaced that would cost ~$250 online. He told me the job would take 2 hours and quoted me $2600 for everything. Considering the parts are no more than $300 I would be charged 2300 just for labor and fees? I declined getting my car fixed through them and still paid $500 just to get my car back. Comment : Going to Sun was The Biggest automotive mistake of my life. Utter incompetence. I told them that the transmission in my car was reportedly tricky to deal with (Mazda MX5 auto) but was assured that they had trained transmission techs for whom it would be no problem. $7200 and three weeks later, I get my car back. It works again. They did do a lot of work on it (necessary?) but I m pretty sure, after some more sleuthing about the various possibilities, that if I had taken it to someone that truly knew these cars, I would have been out somewhere between $500 and $1500.
