Comment : For over three decades, my grandfather faithfully brought his truck to Schicker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Washington for service. Since he followed it off the assembly line in 1999, every oil change, repair, and inspection has been meticulously documented resulting in a stack of service records over an inch thick, all from this dealership. Given this history, I expected the same level of reliability and expertise when I brought the truck in for service after acquiring it. Unfortunately, my experience was anything but that.I initially requested service for two specific issues:1. A shifting problem, which was promptly diagnosed and repaired.2. A four-wheel-drive issue, which proved to be a much bigger headache. After keeping my truck for a few days, the service department assured me that the four-wheel drive was fixed. They stated that a few vacuum lines were replaced, and everything was working correctly. However, when I picked it up and tested it on the ice-covered parking lot, it was clear that the issue was still unresolved. I immediately returned the keys and asked them to take another look.A few days later, I received another call. This time, they claimed the issue was due to a faulty actuator, which they replaced. I was told the technician had test-driven the truck and confirmed everything was working perfectly. Trusting their expertise, I went to pick it up only to discover that the four-wheel drive still wasn't engaging properly. At this point, my frustration was evident. I spoke to the manager, who agreed to refund my most recent payment and take another look at the issue. Days later, I got yet another call saying the four-wheel drive was now working 100%. Wanting to believe it was finally resolved, I paid again and took the truck home.Unfortunately, while the four-wheel drive was kind of working, it still wasn t functioning as it should. I voiced my concerns but was completely done with them at this point. I explained to the service manager that I already knew what the problem was I just didn t want to fix it myself, which is why I brought it to them in the first place. After nearly $1,000 spent on a problem they never actually fixed, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Today, with some decent weather, I opened up the actuator housing only to find the real issue the technician had failed to secure the actuator inside the housing. The keeper wasn t even installed.I have pictures to prove it, and I cannot express my dissatisfaction enough with this dealership s service department. I will never take another vehicle to them again and strongly urge others to withhold payment until their service is proven satisfactory. This experience has been beyond frustrating, and I hope it serves as a warning to others just because a dealership has a long history doesn t mean they still uphold the same level of quality and care. For over three decades, my grandfather faithfully brought his truck to Schicker Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Washington for service.
