Comment : Be careful with this business! I went to this place with my vehicle after receiving a postcard offering a generous discount. I waited while they performed an oil change and alignment. It wasn't a long process. They provided me with a detailed list of parts that needed replacement, totaling $5,000. I was told that my battery was bad, and I needed new spark plugs and new front brakes. I was very concerned about the long list of expensive work that they said needed to be done, but my vehicle was driving just fine. I checked the battery, and it passed the test. I also decided to stop by O'Reilly Auto Parts to check the battery there, and it was working well and still functioning fine! After getting quotes from various mechanics, I decided to go with 210 Family Mobile Mechanics, who replaced the spark plugs and front brakes, which could probably last another 50,000 miles. The spark plugs and brakes looked just fine and there was no need to replace them, they could have lasted another 40-50,000 miles easily. I am writing this review to make people aware of their tactics to worry you and make you spend a bunch of money just for the purpose of taking your money for replacing parts that don't need replacing.

Comment : This place (then called Schertz Auto) was a gem when I first started using them in 2019- especially after purchasing a BMW where they saved me a lot of time and money in not dealing with BMW of San Antonio (if you know, you know). My particular model BMW has a well documented problem with a plastic clamp that holds the e-brake cable In place. When the clamp breaks, the cable occasionally comes in contact with the drive shaft (see pic) while driving and makes a very distinctive noise. This has happened twice before since I've owned the car. So, I knew exactly what the problem was. Told them, they still charged me $200 to confirm that my diagnosis was correct- no problem, I understand it's a business. But then to tell me that to fix it they have to drop the drive shaft and the fuel tank was when I knew this place was not longer the blessing I thought it was. Had the repair done twice at BMW previously with the job taking less than 45 min- no way they dropped the drive shaft and fuel tank, did the repair, and got me back on the road in 45 minutes. I felt that either their technician didn't know what he was talking about OR they were trying to charge me for labor that was not needed. Either way, the respect and luster this place had earned with me dissolved. Several other issues have occurred since the name change to Total True that have been frustrating, but this was the last one.

Comment : The folks at Schertz Carecare did a great job in a couple of hours that the dealer wanted 3 days to do. Not inexpensive BUT great work and courteous service!! Work was perfect. Highly recommend.
