The pricing is significantly less and the service is fantastic. If I could give 10 Stars, I would. Rusty s is very affordable, generous with Uber rides to and from, and provide car washes each time. I will continue to have Scott take care of everything. Thank you 1 Reviews Scott fitzgerald The Woodlands, TX Reviewed : 03/27/2025 Comment : 1 Reviews Ray hyjiliac The Woodlands, TX Reviewed : 03/26/2025 Comment : I came in recently for my Toyota Carolla, and knew I had a number of problems with it. The staff was able to asses and come up with a plan agreeable with cost to fix my vehicle. The staff was very respectful and easy to work with. I highly recommend this garage for your auto needs. 1 Reviews Craig Gardner The Woodlands, TX Reviewed : 03/25/2025 Comment : 1 Reviews Colleen thompson The Woodlands, TX Reviewed : 03/18/2025 Comment : I came in for a starter replacement, which was done correctly at the price discussed. Everyone was super polite, and Rusty's even provided Uber service to ferry me home and bring me back, which was great because the work and complimentary inspection took a couple of hours longer than the initial estimate. So why is this three stars instead of five? Because the complimentary inspection turned up thousands of dollars worth of additional suggested repairs that they also recommended. But the last time this garage recommended additional work, I got a second opinion from a different shop, which gave the vehicle a completely clean bill of health. Once again, in this case, I took the vehicle to a different mechanic. Only this time, I asked about one of the specific problems that most concerned me--only to hear from two different mechanics at that shop that the issue did not exist. Also, the quoted prices for all of the additional repairs (other than the one that got initially got me in the door) were much higher than average for the area.So although Rusty's is perfectly capable of doing good work, they've completely lost my trust after two strikes, and I would not recommend them, especially to my female friends.I came in for a starter replacement, which was done correctly at the price discussed. Paul, Keith or Tanner know their stuff and I never feel like I’m just being sold something. A refreshing departure from my experience with repair shops in the past. I originally took my S60 to Volvo and asked them to look at it, they indicated that they could not pinpoint the problem only to indicate that there was some corrosion due to the flood damage and that they would not work on it - indicating it would cost between $15,000 - $20,000 to make it right. I thought I was going to have to sell the car for salvage.I brought it to Rusty's after reading some positive reviews online. This was not an easy diagnoseable issue. Working with Tanner and his electrical technical mechanic, after what I would imagine was numerous hours trying to trace the electrical faults they were able to correct the problem and work out the kinks. The parts needed were not easy available but Tanner and the team at Rusty's were able to secure the parts and find somebody (a 3rd party provider) to re-program the vehicle control module which otherwise would have had to be taken back to Volvo. Although the final tally was expensive - about 1/3rd of the cost Volvo indicated it would cost to make it right - the final bill was fair. Throughout the process - Tanner was upfront and communicated sometimes 2 or 3 times a day to keep us abreast of where they were at. Shout out also to the online APP that the technicians use to take photos and communicate the work was needed. I have found a garage for life!
