Unfortunately, many shops aren t as honest as they appear.I went to this shop to have my brakes and transmission fluid checked, but they called me later to inform me that one of my engine mounts (the torque strut mount) needed replacement. They quoted me $200 for the repair. At the time, I didn t know much about the engine mount they mentioned and assumed the price was fair, given it was related to the engine. However, after the replacement, my car began vibrating excessively when idling, reversing, or in first and second gear. I returned to the shop, and they claimed the other three engine mounts were also broken and needed replacement, quoting me $800 for the additional work. At this point, I realized they were trying to scam me. Before visiting this shop, my car had no excessive vibrations, so it made no sense for all my engine mounts to suddenly fail. I asked them to hold off while I researched the issue further. After doing extensive research, I found the vibration was due to the bad quality parts they used. I purchased an aftermarket torque strut mount from Amazon for $25 and replaced it myself in less than five minutes. The vibration immediately stopped. Considering the replacement took me five minutes with basic tools, it s outrageous that they charged me $226 for the job $100 for a substandard part and $126 for labor. Even an OEM torque strut mount costs only around $70. Funny thing they told me they don t profit at all from replacement parts as those were the prices they paid their vendor, hardly believable.Regarding the transmission fluid change: My owner s manual states that my car's transmission fluid capacity is 3.9 quarts, and typically, only 1/3 of the fluid (less than 2 quarts) should be replaced during routine maintenance. They claimed to have used 6 quarts of transmission fluid. When I called for clarification, they said they had drained and refilled the transmission multiple times. This is not only unnecessary but potentially harmful to a high-mileage transmission like mine. I now worry they may have already caused significant damage to my car. I actually wish they were lying about the amount of fluid they were replacing.Of course their customer service is abysmal. When I tried to discuss the poor repairs, the front desk staff repeatedly told me the shop owner would call me back, but I never received a single call despite following up for three consecutive days. One male staff member even hung up on me abruptly hardly a professional attitude. To anyone reading this review: learn from my experience. If you think your car needs some substantial work, be away from this shop. Don t believe online ratings, and the most important is that do get a second opinion from other shop for expensive repairs. If you re not knowledgeable in car mechanics, always get a second opinion before deciding take your vehicle to any auto shop.
