After finding out my friend had quit this job and I wouldn't be able to do this myself anymore, I reached out to Rowland Street Garage to have them do so. When I picked the car back up, I noticed that the new tires pressure sensors hadn't been programed and my tire light was still on. I was going to just program them myself with my scan tool when I got home but noticed that the tire pressure also low, which I thought was weird based off the service that was just done. I went to take the wheel off to inspect the tire to make sure I hadn't run over a nail or something but found they had neglected to return my lug key. I inspected the tire on the car and determined that it was probably a faulty valve stem on the new tpms but was kind of annoyed that this wasn't flagged at the Garage between the sensors not being programmed, the saggy tire, and that they didn't return my lug key. To their credit, they reached out to me a day later notifying me that they had it and I mentioned all the issues I was experiencing in this time. They said to bring it back but due to an unforseen emergency, I wasn't able to get the car to them until Easter night for the following Monday morning which at this point was over a week after they had installed it. For the rest of the week I had to fill the tire twice a day it was losing so much air, but thought this was atleast going to be over when I dropped it off Sunday night. Monday afternoon I spoke to whom I believe to be the owner who confirmed my suspicion that the new tpms and valve stem were a dud. I didn't fault them for this as I provided them with the materials so they are not responsible for the parts failure technically and sometimes parts don't work, thats life. The call was concluded with what I thought to be him saying that they would get a new tpms from Toyota and install it and I told them I could pick it up the following day. Then come to the following day I arrive to pick up my car and the woman at the service desk went to hand me my keys and described my car as "the one that is going to need a new valve stem." I asked her "Well didn't you guys replace the valve stem?" She was unable to confirm if they had or hadn't done so. So I walked out to my car to find the tire still saggy and the sensor still unprogramed. So no, they hadn't. She had also given me the wrong lug key, so that means that they have someone's else's lug key as well? I went back inside, stated that the work hadn't been done and that they had given me the wrong lug key. I then left completely flustered. What started as me just wanting my new tires mounted and my tire light off has left me with an incomplete service to my vehicle almost a week and a half later. Rowland Street Garage has a nice facility and equipment and the owner seemed knowledgeable and technically sound but there seems to be quite a large issue with communication both internally and externally. This along with an inability to complete services requested by someone who, in my opinion, had been quite understanding and cooperative for an extended period of time despite the circumstances, will unfortunately keep me from returning. Wanted to support a local business but I guess I will just take it to AAA and atleast use my discount. 1 Reviews 2017 buick lacrosse essence owner Ballston Spa, NY Reviewed : 04/05/2026 Comment : Always excellent work and fair price.
