Comment : I went here for a state inspection and was failed for rear brakes and emission control. When I later had the brakes serviced elsewhere, the tires were hard to remove and the mechanic had difficulty even removing the rusted drum, which makes me question whether the shop was able to properly inspect the brake shoes before failing the car. Did they even remove the wheels and drums to see the shoes? The shoes were worn but not as severely as the inspection suggested which states in the paper ?below 2/32.? Not sure how they looked at the car to even inspect the rear brakes since they are brake drums, but I?m not very confident in this shop. Not trying to assume but it seems like they didn?t remove the tire or the brakes themselves and only looked at the drums. Even the mechanic who replaced my brakes afterwards questioned it after inspecting the drums and taking it apart. You can see the side by side comparison to the old shoe and new shoe. Makes me wonder how they even came up with ?under 2/32?

I?m not mad about the emission control, since per VA Law according to 19VAC30-70-310. ?Air pollution control system or device.? Its required. But the brakes part has me skeptical.

If you want to do inspections at this shop, just be warned, you can also look at older reviews, there?s one that mentions a similar issue. Thanks for reading
