Comment : This is the best place to take your vehicle for maintenance. My 2008 Jeep Wrangler is approaching 200,000 miles and running well because of John's shop. Each summer I drive it for 2 months, 7,000 miles around the country, coast to coast to see family and friends, with my dogs. I always take it to John's mechanics first. They are so thorough. I've had complete confidence to take these road trips for several years in a row. This year I'm switching to a Chevy Colorado pick-up to have more space, but I'm staying with John. He'll be getting it for maintenance too.

Comment : John LaRue is easily, the most knowledgeable mechanic that I have ever met. Some of my cars that he has maintained, repaired and given me guidance on include: BMWs - 325, 328, 335, 535, 540; Mercedes C, E and S class; Audi A4s; Ford Mustangs; Chevy Camaro Z28; Jeep Wranglers TJ, JK, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee; Commander; Dodge Magnum SRT8; Chrysler 300SRT8; Hummer H3; Toyota Tundra; Porsche 911; and probably a few more Needless to say, I like cars and trust John and his crew to be honest and do high quality work! Comment : had a hitch installed for a bike rack. waited there 4 hours for it. 3 hours into it, they offered me a loaner car for me to go get lunch or a drink. like they couldn't offer it 3 hours earlier? I went for a ride to pass time. then I waited another 45 minutes. they gave me some song and dance of it being a hard install. apparently me being a woman, shouldn't know any better. but I do know better. they were just doing other things before mine, and then at 12:30...they break for lunch and pretty much tell you to go screw until they are done. I used someone else previously, and sorry I didn't go back there. this place also gave me one price over phone, and then it was more when I went to go pay.

Comment : John LaRue is a rockstar, in the garb of a mechanic. I ve done business with him earlier on my RV and came back for adding accessories (sidesteps, exhaust, lights, skid plates) on my Jeep Wrangler. John quoted me a price based on photos and even though the scope of the work increased considerably because the skid plates needed bumpers to be removed, John honored his word and kept the price.He s a man with 40+ years in the business who s learned business ground up. Comment : If I could, I've rated this auto repair shop at 0 rating. It is the worst I've dealt with.I have a BMW that needed tire replacement. I originally took the car to Costco for a set of new tires. But Costco could not loosen the wheel studs. BMW cars do not use wheel nuts, but studs. Overtime, the studs can be hard to remove. So I was looking for another shop to loose the studs and replace with a set of new ones.Called Quality Auto. The lady (daughter) said to take the car in to get a look. So I took the car in. I told the lady very clear that I wanted the wheel studs loosened and replaced with a set of new ones.The next day, I received a call from the owner. His voice is very loud. He stated that, all 4 tires should be replaced and quoted me very high price for the work. I never had intention to get tires replaced at this place at that price. So I said no. The owner then said that he would not allow the car be taken away since it is "not safe" to drive off his lot. It is his "responsibility" to make sure that car is "safe to drive". I replied that it is my own vehicle. I never asked the shop is to replace the set of tires. Our conversation ended.About 30 minutes later, the owner called me back again. He said he would put back the original wheel studs. I would need to pay for "all the work". I recall it was about $200. He said that was the only way for me to get my car back. This was exactly what I did. So I got my car back. I ordered the tires online and had the tires replaced at BMW dealership.I called my bank and described the situation. They immediately stated that this is a "fraud". The bank reversed the charges.I believe for people who do not know cars well, this is a decent shop. You just pay the bills and they get the jobs done. But for people who know cars, you can clearly see that the owner wanted to trap you. This is not honest and not ethical.I would not recommend this place. Stay away if you can.------ First PS:Now the owner responded that I had the wrong shop. No. I live a short distance from you shop. And I drive through your shop on Route 206 all the time. How can I get it wrong?----- Second PS:The owner first stated that I got the wrong shop. Then he deleted and wrote the very lengthy response.We can all see how arrogant the owner is. He bad mouth BMW for charging too high. Then Costco not knowing what they doing. Only his shop is the best. No. I can't comment on the work mechanics has done. But the owner is about the worst I've dealt with.The owner lied about the "truth" he was telling. He held my car as "hostage" and would not release the car when I declined his "estimate". His mechanics did not do any work, but just simple inspection. Then he charged me $200 for that. Complete fraud of rip-off.
