Comment : John LaRue is easily, the most knowledgeable mechanic that I have ever met. I ve done business with him earlier on my RV and came back for adding accessories (sidesteps, exhaust, lights, skid plates) on my Jeep Wrangler. John quoted me a price based on photos and even though the scope of the work increased considerably because the skid plates needed bumpers to be removed, John honored his word and kept the price.He s a man with 40+ years in the business who s learned business ground up. He s to the point, does not mince words and cuts out the BS. Raquel and the staff are great to work with too. They also take the time to explain what is needed (or not) and why. They price jobs fairly and accordingly. Excellent workmanship and communication throughout the repair process. John and his team run a extremely competent shop and have a vast knowledge of all levels of repair and service. Comment : If I could, I've rated this auto repair shop at 0 rating. It is the worst I've dealt with.I have a BMW that needed tire replacement. I originally took the car to Costco for a set of new tires. But Costco could not loosen the wheel studs. BMW cars do not use wheel nuts, but studs. Overtime, the studs can be hard to remove. So I was looking for another shop to loose the studs and replace with a set of new ones.Called Quality Auto. The lady (daughter) said to take the car in to get a look. So I took the car in. I told the lady very clear that I wanted the wheel studs loosened and replaced with a set of new ones.The next day, I received a call from the owner. His voice is very loud. He stated that, all 4 tires should be replaced and quoted me very high price for the work. I never had intention to get tires replaced at this place at that price. So I said no. The owner then said that he would not allow the car be taken away since it is "not safe" to drive off his lot. It is his "responsibility" to make sure that car is "safe to drive". I replied that it is my own vehicle. I never asked the shop is to replace the set of tires. Our conversation ended.About 30 minutes later, the owner called me back again. He said he would put back the original wheel studs. I would need to pay for "all the work". I recall it was about $200. He said that was the only way for me to get my car back. This was exactly what I did. So I got my car back. I ordered the tires online and had the tires replaced at BMW dealership.I called my bank and described the situation. They immediately stated that this is a "fraud". The bank reversed the charges.I believe for people who do not know cars well, this is a decent shop. You just pay the bills and they get the jobs done. But for people who know cars, you can clearly see that the owner wanted to trap you. This is not honest and not ethical.I would not recommend this place. Stay away if you can.------ First PS:Now the owner responded that I had the wrong shop. No. I live a short distance from you shop. And I drive through your shop on Route 206 all the time. How can I get it wrong?----- Second PS:The owner first stated that I got the wrong shop. Then he deleted and wrote the very lengthy response.We can all see how arrogant the owner is. He bad mouth BMW for charging too high. Then Costco not knowing what they doing. Only his shop is the best. No. I can't comment on the work mechanics has done. But the owner is about the worst I've dealt with.The owner lied about the "truth" he was telling. He held my car as "hostage" and would not release the car when I declined his "estimate". His mechanics did not do any work, but just simple inspection. Then he charged me $200 for that. Complete fraud of rip-off. Comment : Owner has extreme anger issuesYesterday while waiting for service work I witness the owner deal with an unsatisfied customer ( admittedly the guy was completely out of line ) but shortly after the owner came out of his office to take his frustrations out on his employees and berate them in front of other customers. Saying how poor of a job they are doing and how he has 40 something years in the business and doesn???t t need this anymore because he???s sick and tired.As soon as my wheels were put back on I canceled the rest of my scheduled work to take my money else where which I was quoted almost half price. I felt so bad for the employees, they shouldn???t have to deal with that. How this guy is still in business is beyond me.UPDATE after owners response:Dear Owner, my issue was not with how the situation was handled with the previous unsatisfied customer. Both gentlemen went above and beyond to make sure both me AND my car were set.
