Comment : The team at Pro-auto were outstanding. I originally had my Mini towed in when it died on the highway. Pro-auto diagnosed the issue and were upfront when they were not the best shop to do the work due to specialized parts. No charge and nothing but good advice.

I took my wife's SUV in right after and got the same quality treatment. Great diagnostic of the three issues, a fair quote for repair, and most of all good advice on what had to be done now and what could wait . Never any pressure for the expensive repair.

I would recommend Pro-auto to anyone.

Comment : I had an extremely negative experience with Pro-Auto Repair in Slidell, and I advise against using their services. The owner was unprofessional and rude to my husband, and they completely swindled us out of $700 for an A/C job on our Tahoe that they didn't complete properly by failing to do the dye test on the initial drop off to diagnose the A/C issue thoroughly. I picked the truck up Friday and returned it Monday morning because the A/C was no longer blowing cold air. After the initial job, they tried to charge us an additional $900 to fix their mistake!

The work was poorly done, and the owner's attitude toward my husband was unacceptable. The fact that the owner told my husband he was a millionaire and couldn't care less about our Tahoe spoke volumes. Without customers like us, he wouldn't be a millionaire. As a retired Navy Veteran of 24 years, I have never experienced anything like this bigotry. We were entirely taken advantage of, and I would never recommend this shop. Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere!

Comment : BY FAR THE WORST MECHANIC SHOP in Slidell‼If you are in the New Orleans or Slidell area please don’t spend your money with this Shop! They do bad business, as well as overpriced ‼ The owner is very unprofessional and rude‼ He even tried a bullying tactic and bragging about the money he makes at the shop after he even realized they didn’t do the job right. It was obvious that he didn’t care because I’m $700 out of my pocket into his and my ac still has to be fixed. They swindled me out of $700 and tried to get $900 more for an a/c job that they messed up‼ Hopefully this saves someone else from getting ripped off‼ This Is A Real Review‼

Comment : My 23 year old daughter was driving from Orlando to Salt Lake City and was at a planned stop overnight in Slidell. Her car had been making knocking noises on the rear passenger side the night before. I called them from Salt Lake in the morning and talked to Shawn and he said he could get her right in. 10 minutes later she was there and they looked at the car right away, diagnosed the problem and fixed it at no charge and even refused payment when my daughter insisted. It's refreshing to see such honesty and integrity as he could have taken advantage and overcharged for unnecessary repairs. It's too bad I don't live in Louisiana or else they'd have a customer for life. Highly recommended.
