Comment : As I was driving through San Francisco on Friday afternoon, all of a sudden, my dashboard flashed a message - low oil - do not drive further. Seemed strange as 3 days before all was fine. I was about to get on the Golden Gate Bridge so I knew I needed help. I spotted the sign & turned around. The gentleman was so considerate. He came out to the street, opened the hood, & saw there was no dipstick. He went back into the garage & brought out a container of oil & put it in the motor. He suggested I watch the dash to see how that registered so he didn't put too much in. What he did put in was just right! I am so grateful that he took the time to take care of this issue. If I ever return to live in San Francisco, Precision Auto Repair will be my go to garage. If you live in San Francisco, it should be yours!

Comment : I haven't owned a car in 20+ years so when I bought a Honda Fit 4 years ago I asked my friends for recommendations. The places were nice but felt like another customer. I randomly emailed Precision Auto Repair, explained I had a new car, needed a check up and wanted to build a relationship with a mechanic. John texted me in less than 30 minutes. He got me in quickly, confirmed my newly purchased used car was in good shape then suggested when I should come in for a check up. 4 years later John still replies quickly, finishes the job on budget, gives me a heads up on future repairs so I'm not surprised by the price and often finishes earlier than anticipated. I had to go to a Honda dealer for a recall recently. They noticed the same general repairs John and his team suggested and gave me an estimate to have the work done. Precision Auto Repair beat the dealer's price by almost $700. I recently met John's son, Jiacomo, pronounced "Jock-A-Mo", & they both greet me by name when I come in. They're in my neighborhood and I feel like a neighbor any time I bring my car in. Whatever car you have I highly recommend contacting John and Jiacomo at Precision Auto Repair to see how they can service your car.

Comment : Recently, I needed a brake job on all four corners, oil change and a new fuel filter. I checked around for price quotes and was encouraged by John's reasonable prices and comprehensive services offered. I am a 70's guy so I am quite aware that my 2 year old brake rotors didn't need to be replaced with brand new costly ones priced at $90.00 each!! Luckily for me, John and his son, Jockamo understood my concerns and they were in agreement that the rotors would only need to be re-surfaced at a much lower price instead of completely replaced. Jockamo inspected the brakes and determined that the back brake pads were only worn down 50% so they didn't need replacing at that time but the front brake pads were just about non-existent so he re-surfaced the front rotors and changed out the pads (This is my point here.... Jockamo could have easily lied to me and said that the back pads were completely worn down and needed to be replaced too but he didn't do that....!!!) Jockamo also informed me that one of the back brake calipers was starting to crack a small bit (not surprised for a 2005 van) and would eventually need to be replaced when the pads are replaced. The fuel filter change only cost $120.00 whereas Precision's competition was quoting me... 150/190 and an unbelievable ripoff of $210.00!!! I remember when it used to cost $40.00 back in the 80's. The total cost for the front brake job, engine oil change and fuel filter plus taxes, fees, came out to a bit over $500.00!! I'll take that deal any day... Any day!!! The most important part about this whole experience was that I learned that John and Jockamo are honest folks who are in business to make a profit instead of fleecing people and ripping off our money due to greed. I highly, highly recommend Precision Auto Repair to anyone who wants the job done right while paying a fair price and knowing that you can "TRUST YOUR MECHANIC". Thank you John and Jockamo for being decent honorable human beings instead of.....!!! IAM so glad that you two exist...!! Thank you! Patrick O'Brien (Team God)

Comment : I have been bringing my car here for maybe 3 years and will continue to come here. I can text John the owner or his son Joaquin and schedule my service. They are honest and don't up charge because I'm a woman. They always complete the service I request. If there are any issues with my car they will call me and explain what I need to do. Highly recommend
