Comment : I have no clue how this place gets excellent reviews. I had my car towed there, and told the tech it was a crank sensor or fuel pump issue.( My car had been repaired in the previous 3 weeks, and battery was brand new.) They charged 155 for the initial ?Diagnosis ?. They ?diagnosed ? an issue that was fixed 3 weeks prior, a valve cover replacement, for $703.08. When I informed the customer service lady, she answered the tech saw the residual oil, and ASSUMED the valve cover needed replacement, without checking that it was already done. (VIP replaced it for $253.03.) These folks overcharge, do not properly ? Diagnose ?, and the customer service lady is extremely rude, to the point of being obnoxious. Stay clear of this place, unless you like being overcharged and treated very rudely.

Comment : I leased my new car on Saturday. It can be a nerve wracking experience because there's so many things to understand throughout the process. Everyone was wonderful to me and I'm happy.
Today, I had to go back to McGee for help because my paperwork to register my new car fell behind my glove box. Mike helped me with kindness, a smile, and professionalism. He is terrific. I appreciate his outstanding service.

Comment : Everyone art Portsmouth Car Clinic was pleasure to work with. Got me in on short notice and did very good job. They even offered me a loaner vehicle as I couldn't wait for an hour due to unexpected work meeting. Definitely would come back.

Comment : We discovered the Portsmouth Car Clinic in April 2025 after getting an exorbitant repair estimate from the dealership for a 2008 Toyota Sienna. The PCC quoted estimates for the specific repairs far below the dealership's. They were thorough in their explanations and their work. Two weeks ago, we needed emergency repairs again ( it's got 161k miles... we love this van!) and the PCC was able to fit is in the next day and provided a free loaner car when I needed it for two of the days. We are so grateful that we're able to hold onto our trusty "mothership" for awhile longer!

Comment : Nice place and a very polite gentleman, and I respect the matter of so much great reviews here. But my case was a quick minor issue which was a simple resolve. My car needed to be on a lift to just rip a piece of fiber that was under the car flapping with the wind while driving. So, he took my information and added me in the system to then tell me that the closest day to check my car was the next day. I said man! After all this formality for him to say he can’t do it the same day? I said thank you and left. I was able to remove it myself at the Harbor Freight parking lot around the corner from there by crawling under the car with a blade and removed the piece of fiber that was flapping in just 3 minutes. Luckily I’m mechanically inclined and I knew what to do. I only say this for the people who are just passing by and need to be attended as a walk in, that maybe this place is not adequate for this type of service. Sometimes simple jobs like this can bring productivity to a place with awesome reviews and customer recommendations. With people willing to pay anything for a shop mechanic to save their day. Like a jump start or a tire change. Something simple. I’m just saying. Blessings to all.
