Comment : Thank you Portland Automotive! From the moment they answered the phone and set me up for an appointment the following day, to getting my emissions test done in a timely manner, it was perfect! You were recommended by my coworkers and you didn't disappoint.

I would highly recommend Portland Automotive.'>

Comment : Mike and Team were fantastic! The complimentary loaner was an amazing and helpful especially considering it was a minivan which would fit my 3 small children in! Took the stress of having to deal with rental away! They walked me through the entire process and gave me multiple options for what I needed! Called me multiple times to go over details and even sent pictures to help explain things as well! This was so nice to see the transparency and willingness to work and take the extra time to explain what my car needed!
The mechanic even offered to help me with putting in my boys carseats when I picked up my car, which was super nice and although I didn't need it... it was nice for him to offer!
I would highly recommend Portland Automotive.

Comment : While dealerships in the area have routinely been awful, Portland Auto and the team therein are pretty much the only one I trust with my cars anymore.

Thank you to Mike for another easy interaction, fair pricing, and great service.

Long story short I had brought it to the dealer, they replaced the o2 sensor and it's been fine for 5 weeks. $219 labor, $80 for the sensor.

Trashy scammers. I'm sure theyve done this multiple times. Families, do not bring your cars there! These guys are predators!'>

Comment : These guys are scammers. Daughter brought her car in because it had a o2 sensor fail. They quoted her 1.9k for a new catalytic converter and o2 sensor. She said she just wants the o2 sensor replaced and the guy said they already ordered the catalytic converter and it's too late to back out. So I went straight there and got the car with no issues. I guess they like scamming women.

Comment : Called to get a labor-only quote to replace a water pump on my GMC Savana. I already had the OEM pump from the dealer — just needed someone with the tools to break the fan clutch nut loose and do the job. I even told them GMC quoted me 3 hours of labor at 189.99/h.

Dude on the phone says $750 for labor only — no coolant, no extras. I let him know that’s more than the dealership and asked if there was any room to work with me. That’s when he says this: “We charge $250/hr if the customer brings parts.” I was respectful and said no problem, “I’ll just return my part back to GMC and buy yours” — thinking it’d help. Dead silence. I asked again if he could budge on the hourly. “Nope.” Just attitude like I was wasting his time.

I get it’s Friday and maybe you were itching to crack a cold one, but damn — act like you actually want business. Smaller shops are supposed to beat dealer pricing, not charge more and give you a hard time for asking.

And since I’m being honest — who the hell picked the building colors? It looks like an inverted NAPA store. Bright, clashing colors slapped on like they lost a bet with Sherwin-Williams. I’ve seen gas stations with more taste. If you’re gonna charge $250 an hour, at least make your shop look like it wasn’t designed by a six-year-old.

I was able to speak to Belltown Motors. They gave me a better price and are willing to use my supplied part. I’ll definitely be bringing my company and personal vehicles there.

If you like being overcharged and talked down to, this might be your spot. As for me, i’ll take my vehicle and my money somewhere that actually gives a damn.

Comment : I have been taking my car to Mike, Ted and Rasheam at Portland Automotive since I moved into town 6 years ago, and they are thorough, courteous and accommodating; they work hard to fit you in the schedule and get the work done so you aren't inconvenienced. Plus they are the friendliest team!
