Comment : I recently had the pleasure of visiting P&M Automotive Service Inc. at 716 Shrewsbury Road in Jefferson, LA, and I am thoroughly impressed with their exceptional service. From the moment I arrived, the team exhibited professionalism and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.With over 43 years in business and an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, P&M Automotive Service Inc. has a well-established reputation for excellence. Their experienced mechanics specialize in diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for various vehicle makes and models.I had a major job done with them, including a water pump and timing chain replacement. They also replaced my radiator hoses, belts, coolant, oil, intake manifold gasket, and injector gaskets. Al and Ryan went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right, and my vehicle has been running excellently ever since.If you have a fifth-generation Ford Explorer, these are the guys to go to for timing chain and water pump jobs. The dealership wanted to charge me $4,200 just for the pump replacement alone not even including the timing chain. Ryan did everything for $3,600, saving me a ton while ensuring top-quality work.Their attention to detail, fair pricing, and transparent communication made the whole experience stress-free. Comment : I wasn't going to leave any review even though things seemed...off, but after speaking to family and friends I was encouraged to share my experience. I got my car towed there to get an evaluation/diagnostic test. The quote to fix my car was rather costly. I decided to tow my car home rather than put that much into it. When I made the phone call that I'm not having work done the man seemed irritated, but who am I to assume, his job is probably stressful. I set up the tow, I go in to pay for the diagnostic, and the price is $198 to get it evaluated. No complaints there, but then I asked for my invoice... what I paid for... and the man said he already deleted it from his system and he can't get the information back. That's wild and shady to me. I paid $198 to not have proof or reference as to what's wrong with my car

Comment : Had my truck for 2+ weeks. They said the problem was the connector for my coolant temperature sensor(which if they would have called, I could have told them I got that diagnostic code along with a few others when I diagnosed it myself) I've owned this truck for 18 years and this is the first time I've used a shop since a recent decline in my health. This is how they "fixed" it, just twisted the wires together and threw half a piece of tape on it. Not to mention they looked past the other 4 wires for the TPS sensor that is clearly missing, plus the massive oil leak coming from down in the same area. They just put fresh oil in there, so it looked like the oil leak was fixed too, until days later when I realized the water spots were actually just fresh oil. So here I am stuck with the same problem I went in for in the first place, and $600 lighter.

Comment : I'm fairly confident they do good work, considering how many vehicles were on premises and the fact another shop recommended them. Unfortunately, I was told to drop my vehicle off first thing on a Monday morning. So, I did that and took an Uber home. I called at noon to check progress and was told they hadn't yet looked at it. Called again just before closing and was again told it had not been looked at. Took another Uber to pick up my vehicle and go eleswhere. I would have appreciated some open honesty. Why tell me to come in 'first thing' if you aint lookin at it first thing? Now, im out 40$ and the day wasted.
