So, I hit another bad pothole - what?s going on with PA roads right now? - and blew BOTH driver?s side tires. Had it towed to Walmart because the tires were $108 each and cost me just under $300 total for BOTH tire replacements.

Performance Auto charged me over $600 for one tire after the issue described in my original review. I was told recently that ?AAA Preferred? shops overcharge immensely. Also, $180 for a ?diagnostic service? to see what?s wrong? Why are *some* shops doing this now? This is absurd. Even attorneys have free consultations. I won?t be going back to this shop because of the inflated prices, but I still maintain that their service and attitude toward me were impeccable. I can recommend them for that, but not for price, sadly. Way over-inflated.

Comment : I had a very disappointing experience with Performance Plus Automotive in Greensburg.
They originally installed exhaust headers on my 2018 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. The very next morning they told me there was a ticking noise coming from the MDS system in cylinder #6. Instead of actually tearing into the engine to properly diagnose the problem, they essentially made an assumption and quoted me around $8,500 for a full ?performance package? repair.
That didn?t sit right with me, so I took the truck to another mechanic who actually diagnosed the issue correctly as a blown head gasket. I brought that information back to Performance Plus hoping they would do the repair. Instead, they refused the job because they ?weren?t comfortable? doing it.
To me it felt pretty obvious what was going on. They were happy to quote an expensive performance package, but when it came to doing a straightforward head gasket repair that wouldn?t make them as much money, suddenly they didn?t want the work.
In my experience, this shop seems more focused on protecting their reputation and selling high-dollar packages than actually helping customers fix their vehicles. I left feeling like they?re more technologists than mechanics. If you need real diagnostic work or basic mechanical repairs, I?d recommend getting a second opinion before committing to anything here.

Comment : I've been to Performace Plys for my car needs a few times. The most recent time was for a flat tire repair. Joe was so kind to call me when he had an opening. Randy repaired my tire within an hour. He's always been my technician. He's always so nice. And the owner Joe, never over charges me. He's a very fair guy. Thank you!! It's nice to have a little gem like this near me. Oh and Joe use to be a drummer in a band. And Randy is from California like me. See they really took the time to get to know me and vice versa. Shush don't tell too many people about them. I love how fast I can get in and out.

Comment : Joe, Randy, and Dan have taken great care of me and my vehicles, specifically an F150 with some wheel issues, and an Audi with some massive engine issues. In both cases, the vehicles are running like new and I'm very thankful for these gents.
