Comment : I was under the impression that this was a good shop, well apparently I was wrong. The first couple of times that I had work done on my truck I would give them a 5star rating, the 3rd time I honestly felt like I was being taken advantage of due to the amount of work requested over $3,300 worth this was 7months ago, too top it off I was told to take my truck elsewhere after spending this kind of money, I was told because they don't work on S-10's, now this response right here should've been a red flag to really inspect the S-10 before leaving because more than likely something was screwed up. I had Performance Auto check some work that was installed by another shop in Auburn (Misfits 4x4 Offroad). The so called suppose to be certified mechanic at Performance Auto that was suppose to install a K&N cold air intake, a Performance Accessories 2inch body lift, reattach the right front inner fender well, reconnect the broken wires for the left rear taillight/turn signal, and reconnect the broken wires for the left side tag light, along with replace both door pins on the drivers side door, when the installation along with the repairs requested were completed. I paid the bill, over $3,300. I received my paperwork receipt with my key so I went outside to do a quick walk around due to I made the mistake of trusting the work of this shop thinking that everything would be good. The first thing I noticed that my tow hooks were missing, second looking under hood noticed a nut missing on the backside of the fuel injection/carburetor after installation of the K&N cold air intake was installed, next I noticed inside the S-10 that there was only 1 door pin left and there should've been two which I supplied this part total 4pieces and was told that the so called suppose to be certified mechanic damaged one of the door pins when trying to install it which I was NOT compensated for instead the mechanic used one of the remaining two door pins only to find 7months later that the top bushing for the door pin is now damaged/broken which tends to make me believe that this was more than likely installed incorrectly due to breaking within 7 months, after installation of the body lift I notice the truck bed sits on top of the spare tire wind up/down bar and not lined up with the hole in the truck bed which obviously means NOT able to get the spare tire off if needed, the right front inner fender well was only reattached with 3/4 of the new bolts and still missing a few fastening bolts, rear differential still leaking actually worse than before and last but not least the gas tank leaks at the tank itself where the filler tube is attached to the nipple on the gas tank the so called suppose to be certified mechanic damaged/broke the seal which now when I go to fill up the gas tank once it's at full capacity the tank starts to leak right at the seal where the nipple connects on the gas tank, obviously damaged by the so called suppose to be certified mechanic. Seriously, was this kind of work worth $3,300?? NOT to mention the so called suppose to be certified mechanic kept all parts that were taken off along with installation instructions that I supplied, and I also noticed my gas tank no longer has a protective armor shield on it anymore, missing never put back on. I have been going through alot lately since my wife passed away just over a year ago, along with dealing with Parkinsons myself and being a disabled vet with all those issues not helping. I finally took the S-10 back to get these discrepancies corrected that should've NEVER been done in the first place with a good mechanic, I honestly don't feel comfortable about them working on my truck, but they screwed it up they need to correct their screw ups free of charge NO COST to ME !!!! I forgot to mention my taillight and left side tag light work as long as the left turn signal is not used because now the turn signal is the left side tag light, now ain't this someting?? A tag light turn signal, what will it be next time, if there is going to be a next time. I Don't think so
