La Mesa, CA Reviewed : 01/12/2020 Comment : Successful oil change in August 2019! Will continue to use them, to see if they can continue to be consistent.THE GOODA quick and cost effective oil change with Penske - for a 2016 Tucson Eco SUV. We will continue using them and see how it goes.CONCERNSBoth the Penske manager and the customer service person said they were not concerned by Yelp reviews, when I told them some of the Yelp issues people had described including poor communications. That type of nonchalant response by Penske employees is concerning, since customer comments ARE important and companies need to listen and learn from them. I encourage them to reconsider listening to customers feedback.HISTORYWe discontinued using Frank Hyundai in National City due to 2 week wait to get an oil change, and constant communications problems with them over the past 2 years. They also did not inform us about recalls including safety issue related recalls, they do apparently do not have their customers safety in mind.SUMMARYA satisfied customer. Will continue using them. 1 Reviews Gl a. La Mesa, CA Reviewed : 01/12/2020 Comment : Successful oil change in August 2019! Will continue to use them, to see if they can continue to be consistent. Edwin was always courteous and helpful. Live in La Mesa area, will now have to trek to Kearny Mesa. Called an 855 number today and ended up speaking with Hyundai Poway. Person was so unhelpful & hesitant. Will definitely not go there. 1 Reviews C f. La Mesa, CA Reviewed : 01/01/2020 Comment : Just learned this location closed, unbelievable! La Mesa, CA Reviewed : 12/16/2019 Comment : Since this dealership changed owners from Drew to Penske it's been nothing but crap. No more loaner cars offered, unless you complain about not being able to work without it and have two children your lugging around in the heat. Car gets towed in and they have no clue where it is. Then have no sort of urgency to see what the issue is and when asked get short replies in all caps saying NOT YET when asking if they've had a chance to just plug in the code reader. I can not stand Penske at all. 1 Reviews D b. La Mesa, CA Reviewed : 12/16/2019 Comment : Since this dealership changed owners from Drew to Penske it's been nothing but crap. I took my Hyundai Elantra in for what my mechanic told me ( after his inspection,) was the catalytic converter and that this part is covered under the manufacturer warranty. Which I verified.I gave Edwin the service advisor detail of the problem and what my mechanic reported to me. He told me in simple words that it was the Air body throttle and this would explain why the car had lost acceleration. When I asked him about the converter he said, there was no code that came up. He gave me a quote of over $1000 and told me he had the part in. I declined and took it back to my mechanic, had the air throttle body replaced as recommended and guess what, that's not it. I'm right back where I was to begin with ..catalytic converter. My disappointment continued when I spoke briefly with Eileen the supervisor and told me because I chose to take it to my mechanic and "who know's" the quality of the part that was put it and because their code didn't show the converter being the issue there is absolutely nothing she would do.Says that it was advised that I replace (in simple terms) the air body throttle and after that they would continue with the diagnostic after that was done.I asked her why would I replace it and maybe it be something else. That's just stupid. I bring it to you to know, not to have me replace a part and maybe that's it. She told me that they are closing down the dealership service and there was nothing else to be done.I paid $140 and didn't even get a car wash. This kind of service gives all dealerships a bad name. 1 Reviews Rosalie g. La Mesa, CA Reviewed : 12/05/2019 Comment : Not trustworthy ..
