Comment : Lincoln repaired my vehicle in January of 2023. One of the parts they replaced failed. I called Melissa at the Body Shop and even though they were booking a month out, she worker with the Sere Department and was able to have them assist with diagnostics and had parts ordered and vehicle fixed in a few weeks. And it only took a few weeks due to my schedule. They acknowledged that the part that they put on had failed and replace the part. No questions asked. Comment : Update: I don't believe it is fair to leave a negative review when the business has gone out of their way to take care of me so I wanted to share that experience. After I left my vehicle they let me know they did replicate most of the issues I had and repaired them under the extended warranty. They did let me know some of the repairs weren't able to be replicated although they ended up taking care of me on what I would've paid out of pocket I would like to note you shouldn't have the expectation that they would take care of you they are a business but what I can say is that if I did have to pay out of pocket the amount that would've been charged was fair. The extended warranty offered by Lincoln puts the dealers in tough spots because if they don't cover the work the dealership has to pay out of pocket for the diagnostic labor it's not fair to them or the consumer but I would like to thank them for taking care of me and making the best out of a crappy situation.I strongly advise against purchasing a vehicle from Lincoln, especially if you re considering their extended warranty. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I initially opted for the highest-tier Premium Care Warranty, believing it would provide peace of mind, but let me warn you read the fine print before making the same mistake.Lincoln lures you in with the promise of a simple $100 deductible, but here s what they conveniently fail to mention: only Lincoln dealerships can perform the diagnostics, and those dealerships set their own diagnostic fees often ranging from $75 to $150 per issue. Whether Lincoln chooses to cover a repair is entirely up to them, but you re stuck paying for each individual diagnostic if they decide it s not covered. So no, your out-of-pocket cost isn t just the $100 deductible it s that plus the diagnostic fee per issue if they decide not to cover it. There are no true checks and balances, leaving you at the mercy of both the dealership and Lincoln.I own a 2020 Lincoln Aviator, and it has been a disaster. There is no worse feeling than having a newer vehicle that you can t trust for long trips. I brought mine in with a laundry list of serious concerns that make driving it feel unsafe, including: Transmission problems Suspension issues Third-row seat failing to lower Wheel bearing problems Vibrations in the passenger footwell Tailgate not opening from either the interior or exterior The vehicle catching on the parking brake, requiring manual engagement and disengagement Brakes jumping when pressed Electrical issues like the backup camera flickering and interior lighting already failing Oil LeakAll of these are legitimate and concerning problems. Yet, instead of standing behind their product, Lincoln is more than happy to charge me a diagnostic fee for each of these if the Lincoln extended warranty decides not to cover it. If I wanted everything looked at and they decided they wouldn t cover it, it would be almost $1,000 in diagnostics. And let s not forget I had to have transmission work done early into owning this vehicle,If you re considering dropping thousands on a Lincoln and its so-called extended warranty, save yourself the headache and buy a Lexus instead.Update: I don't believe it is fair to leave a negative review when the business has gone out of their way to take care of me so I wanted to share that experience.
