Such a friendly group of people doesn't seem like there has ever been anything they couldn't do for our vehicles we used them almost exclusively. 1 Reviews Drew elwood Idaho Falls , ID Reviewed : 07/07/2026 Comment : They did excellent work on my truck. I went in with a transmission leak and they discovered a lot more damage but were not pushy about any of it. They worked quickly and had my truck turned around in a few days. If you are looking for transmission repairs this is the place to get them done. 1 Reviews Miguel garcia Idaho Falls , ID Reviewed : 06/11/2026 Comment : Gracias a Northgate Transmission por ayudarme a reparar mi SUV. 1 Reviews Shantel johnson Idaho Falls , ID Reviewed : 06/03/2026 Comment : Excelente servicio, me explicaron todo de forma que lo entendiera perfectamente. 1 Reviews Cee j Idaho Falls , ID Reviewed : 05/30/2026 Comment : 1 Reviews Andrea rasmussen Idaho Falls , ID Reviewed : 05/26/2026 Comment : 1 Reviews B fx Idaho Falls , ID I ended up having to replace the transmission with a refurbished stock 68RFE. The replacement parts are also over-priced. I was charged $7039 for a rebuilt transmission which should have cost $4399 to $4729.The shop was not busy and was able to get me in quickly. The shop did all work quickly and my vehicle was in and out in 3 days. The replacement rebuilt stock 68RFE transmission arrived promptly. +2 stars for rapid service. -3 stars for the costly, unnecessary, and speculative solenoid change (and fluid change) that did nothing. And for being ~39% more expensive on parts.'> Reviewed : 05/07/2026 Comment : Bottom line up front - customers beware, this shop will recommend and then charge you for services that do not fix the problem and which have low probability of success in the first place. After the initial diagnosis the technician "could not identify" any obvious causes for the P0731 error code (2014 RAM 2500 68RFE transmission) and why the transmission was repeatedly falling out of 1st gear into limp mode. Slightly discolored tranny fluid with a slight smell, but the level was fine. No metallic parts in the pan. It was offered that Option A would be a fluid/filter changeout that could be done with solenoid replacement for $1200 which "may" fix the problem, or Option B would involve a full transmission replacement for >$7000. It was caveated that Option A "might not work".The $1200 Option A did not fix the problem and that $1200 "fishing trip" was tacked onto the final bill for full transmission replacement. The brand new solenoids ($474 in parts) could not apparently be retrieved, refreshed, and returned. In sharing my experience with other knowledgeable local mechanics and local shop owners I was informed that with the given error code, the mileage on the vehicle, and the transmission behavior for the 68RFE transmission there was high probability of internal damage. In the words of others "this shop did a poor job of diagnosis". The existing solenoids could have been diagnosed to determine functionality without having to be replaced. One local shop owner states it is unethical in their opinion to charge customers for speculative services that don't fix the problem, or to even offer low-probability-of-success services in the first place.I ended up having to replace the transmission with a refurbished stock 68RFE. Desafortunadamente, tenía una pieza defectuosa que se manifestó poco después de que terminara el período de garantía. Hicieron todo lo posible para solucionar el problema. ¡Les estamos muy agradecidos! Recomendamos ampliamente Northgate Transmission. 1 Reviews Britany jakubowski Idaho Falls , ID Reviewed : 08/01/2025 Comment : Page 1 of 5 |<< 1 2 3 4 5 → >|
