Comment : Service like this doesn't come along often. I have been using Metro Motors for the past year for routine oil changes, but more recently, I have started using their services when my work van needs repairs. Not only is their service center impeccably clean, but their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I know this may sound crass, but cleanliness stands out to me in an industry such as automobile repair and servicing.

However, Metro Motors cemented my loyalty two weeks ago when I was in Hawaii, and an employee locked the work van key inside the cab. I woke up at 2 a.m. local time to attempt to have AAA solve the problem for me, but they wouldn't agree to access the key inside the locked vehicle without me on site. That wasn't an option because I was more than 5,000 miles away. So, I texted Carlos, Metro Motor's service manager, with whom I'd worked previously, and asked him if he knew anyone to assist me. Carlos offered to go over to my vehicle and unlock the van himself, saving me valuable hours and allowing for the continued operation of my business, which is entirely reliant on my work van.

These guys make it easy to make appointments, offering the option to text rather than call during peak business hours, and I trust that when they diagnose a problem, they're not just trying to make a quick buck off of me. If your vehicle needs to be repaired, you can trust any estimate these guys give you.

BONUS for you and me is that they routinely have the best price for a gallon of gas of anyone in Old Town.

Comment : Omar and his team are fabulous. Super responsive and transparent about the service and any recommended repairs. I really like how they send photos and details about exactly what needs to be done, and you are able to text with them so getting real-time communication is a breeze.

I was even able to talk with them when I had an issue while on a short road trip. They talked me through my issue (it was something I could do a quick patch while I was on the trip); I was able to drop my car off the day I got back and they completed a proper fix.

The team is super thorough and you can tell they take pride in their work.

Comment : I stopped by to have my AC checked, but due to the age and make of my car, it quickly became clear that the cost of repairs would exceed the value of the vehicle. When I mentioned this, Omar, the manager agreed and actually discouraged me from moving forward—a level of honesty and integrity that’s far too rare these days.

To top it off, he didn’t charge me a dime for the diagnostic assessment or the Lyft ride he arranged to get me to work that morning—all despite knowing I wouldn’t be giving him any business this time around.

His kindness, professionalism, and transparency have absolutely earned my trust. I may not have needed a repair today, but I’ve definitely found my go-to shop for anything I might need down the road.

Comment : I love taking my car here. They give me good advice about which tires etc hit the right price point and serve my needs best. They communicate effectively via phone and text. My receipts are clean and clear. I've never had a problem or deficiency with any work they've performed. Highly recommend.
