Comment : Spoke with Damon to schedule an alignment and new tires to be mounted and balanced. He recommends I drop my truck off in the morning before work and leave my keys in the Uhaul box so when the technician gets there, he can start on my truck right at 8a. I called the shop at 1:30p to check on progress and was informed it would be closer to 5p before I could pick it up because they were just now starting on it. Damon called me back at 3:00p to let me know that there was another issue preventing the alignment and quoted me another $500 on top of the original plan for them to fix it plus would have to order the part. With some understanding that the other repair needed to be completed for the alignment to be accurate, why did he tell me to drop the truck off so early and then not inform me that the repairs couldn't be completed until almost end of day? Charges me a $50 inspection fee when I picked up the truck. I would recommend using a shop with better time management and communication skills. Left my truck at the shop all day for nothing. The $50 is more of a "storage fee".

Comment : Mechanic diagnosed knocking sound from rear wheels on my 2016 Ford Escape. Fixed loose bolt on brake caliper that had allowed pad to move. Ford Mechanics didn't find this instead billing for $800 for control arm replacement and later saying rear shocks need replaced. Mt. Pleasant Auto did replace my rear shocks for 1/2 the Ford Dealers estimate, but Ford Dealer was wrong as that didn't fix the knocking sound which got fixed today. Damon and his team at Mt Pleasant Auto are super and offer fair prices for their work.

Comment : I have had nothing but trouble with this car since my husband got it for me. The first place I took it to basically robbed us. Won’t name them but they’re a place in Decatur, charged us $2300 and did a piss pour job. Oh, and it took them 6 months! So when my brakes went out one evening when I was driving home, all I knew was I had to find a better mechanic. I googled car mechanics and one of them was Mount Pleasant. I called on the 4th of July, not realizing it was a holiday. Damon called me back first thing the next morning, ( a miracle in itself- will explain in a second) and right off the bat he had an idea what wrong when I explained what and how it happened. I had my car towed in that day. Summer called me a day later telling me what the problem was and how much it was to fix. It came to $314, with labor. $314!!!!! That’s it! Long story short, I’m back in my car in 2 days and it runs beautifully! When we went to pick up my car, I noticed a lot, A LOT of cars in their yard and asked Damon, “are all those cars waiting to be fixed?” He said “yes”. So there’s my miracle. 15 to 20 cars waiting to be fixed and I got my car back in a couple days! I can’t say enough good things about Mount Pleasant, Damon and Summer, ( my sisters name too, lol). They were very professional, very friendly and polite and best of all, they did spectacular work. This is the first time I have felt safe driving this car. Thank you Damon, and Summer. You made one old lady so happy.
