Comment : Updating my original review as our experience with Montpelier Volkswagen has changed. We leased a car from them in January of 2025 after selling our vehicle that we bought private sale that came from their dealership. We had a great experience working with Dave, but about 9 or so months into our lease, we realized we really needed a bigger car. I had reached out to Dave to let him know our needs had changed and if he could make a deal for us at some point, to let us know. Unfortunately, Dave is no longer there, but after seeing an advertised lease special on their Facebook, I reached out to see if they could make a deal work to get us in a bigger car. We met with a new salesman, Kris, and had a great experience with him and were ready to sign if the dealership could make us a deal. Unfortunately, once we started dealing with the sales manager, Tyler, we ran into a less than great experience. I provided a number to them of what I was willing to pay both monthly payment wise and in terms of down payment because I wanted to see how willing to work with us and keep our business they were. Instead, I was continuously told I needed to give up the things I wanted in a car, was spoken to as if I had no knowledge with buying a vehicle (I've bought several, too many, really and I do know what I am doing) and was told I was asking them to lose $5k to earn my business. I had wiggle room on the numbers I provided, but I wasn't going to tell them that until I saw what they could do for me. They weren't willing to work with me and instead, as mentioned, the sales manager did nothing but tell me I needed to give up things in my next vehicle, which was only TWO requests.... We reached out to another dealership and they were willing to work with us and got us exactly where we wanted to be so we ended up with our new VW anyway, but not from Montpelier VW -- which is unfortunate as if we are treated right by a dealership, we stay with them. Montpelier VW lost what would have been a loyal customer for years.

Rick Campbell was friendly, well informed, and worked hard to get us the information we needed in order to get the vehicle that was the best match for us.The general manager and sales manager were also wonderful to work with. A+!

Comment : I had an excellent experience at Volkswagen of Montpelier. Their customer service was truly outstanding from start to finish. The team got me in and out incredibly quickly, which I really appreciated with a busy schedule.

What impressed me the most was the transparency they sent a video showing the full inspection of my vehicle and walked through everything they checked. It made the whole process feel honest and professional, and I knew exactly what was going on with my car.

The turnaround time was beyond fast, and the staff were friendly, efficient, and respectful of my time. It?s not always easy to find a dealership that combines great communication with quick service, but they absolutely delivered. I?d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable service and a hassle-free experience!
