Comment : my original review was amazing then slowly things have just been terrible. I took my car int getting fixed with a oil pump failure and a oil change and a coolant clean , then was fixed and then was picked up and then was drove for 20 mins before my coolant tank bursted from the bleeder screw as they over torqued it. it was then towed to them for repairs. then after getting the car back it started to leak oil and called them and they said it was just oil in the felt lining under the car, they said don’t worry about it it’ll be fine. So i believed it put the car on a car trailer and moved to Utah. then it continued to leak oil over the next 4 months while it sat not moving. then i take it to BMW and the inform me the oil drain plug has been stripped causing the oil pain to leak until i get a new oil pan coatings me 4,500$ dollars I called mikes Auto clinic as they were the last people to service the oil pan. they acknowledged they were to last to service it. but completely disregarded it was leaking while it left from there shop. and are unwilling to pay for anything. I thought this was meant to be a great shop and it has turned into the worst experience i’ve ever had.

Comment : The shop owner/manager was excellent! Honest, forthright, intelligent, and friendly. I thought my alternator had failed. He found the cause was a broken serpentine belt. His repair was less expensive than a replacement of the alternator, and he did it more quickly. Awesome job. I would highly recommended this place to everyone.

Their website advertises courtesy inspections, and while I understand their inspections take time and are thorough, I didnt need to know my tire had a slash in it or that I had external damage, I needed them to use some critical thinking skills and INVESTIGATE what was wrong, which they did not. Had to fork over $200 for them to release my car to me after they DIDNT actually find the problem.

Please do not bring you car here, especially if youre a single mom because they'll use verbiage as if they got your back but they definitely don't... literally a quick Google search tells you that the problems my car was having was a BIG SIGN it just needed a good tune up.

I will say the guy over the phone was plenty nice but nice didn't get me my car back, taking it to someone who actually knows what theyre doing did.

I posted their response and as expected, zero accountability. Here is my reply:

You are correct. You provided me a list of things that will need to be addressed and screenshot of the codes for multiple missfires then suggested a pcv valve and air filter was all that would be needed to correct the check engine light i asked to be diagnosed. None of what you recommended would have resolved the engine missfire I asked to have diagnosed. That was resolved with a tune up. Its not to say that some of the items on the list you provided will need to be addressed but that does not excuse the fact I paid for a check engine diagnostic and got what could have been done at any auto zone for free.

To suggest that going to a reputable and highly rated auto shop that has been in business much longer and that actually fixed the problem is a cheap patch job is wild seeing that you have multiple complaints regarding price and not resolving issues.'>

Comment : Im sad to write this because I typically dont ever write bad reviews, especially for local businesses, but I dont want anyone to get ripped off.

Brought my rig to this place, told them its running sluggish and misfiring and the idle was rough. They conducted an "insepction" and claimed my car needed $3600 in repairs to get back up and running. And that was with a "special".This included a new PCV valve, a new cat, O2 sensors, and a fuel induction cleaning.

Seeing that thats over half of what my car is worth, I opted for a second opinion at another shop. AND WOULDNT YOU KNOW IT WAS MY SPARK PLUGS. THATS IT.

$400 repair and I have my car back. I would've paid them all that money and it wouldnt have even fixed the ACTUAL ISSUE.

Mike's performed a thorough multi point digital inspection. I received a printout with error codes and pictures. It was determined the ACM needed replaced. The manager called me with the specifics and an estimate of approximately $2495. I declined the service. With the mgr, I expressed surprise. The priced quickly dropped to $2066.45, and another $500 off if Ford received the core undamaged. That discount would be determined after service.
In the end, I took it to Kendall Ford in Meridian. They diagnosed, replaced and reprogrammed the ACM with a genuine Ford part and warranty for only $831, that included a $205 diagnostic fee.
Mike’s original quote was nearly 3? higher than the dealer. I won’t be returning for any future service, and I can’t recommend them.
The people at Mike’s are friendly, knowledgeable, and want to take care of you BUT......'>

Comment : I took my Ford Escape to Mike’s Auto Clinic because I assumed an independent shop would be cheaper than the Ford dealership for diagnosing and repairing my audio system issues. I was hoping Mike's could become my go-to place for routine maintenance like oil changes, brakes, etc.

Comment : I cannot say enough good things about Mike’s Auto Mechanical Shop especially Cody!! They truly went above and beyond for me during one of the hardest times of my life. I was dealing with major health issues, caring for 5 kids, and completely stressed about my truck needing a brand-new transmission. I didn’t have the money and honestly didn’t know what I was going to do.

Mike’s didn’t just fix my vehicle—they helped me get through a crisis. They kept my truck for months (since July/August) without ever making me feel like a burden. They helped me find a lender who would work with my situation, and they were patient, understanding, and genuinely caring through the entire process.

They even offered me lunch during one of my visits because of how much i was going through, who does that anymore? The whole team was incredibly personable, respectful, and compassionate. They treated me like a human being, not just another customer.

Because of them, my truck is running perfectly again, and I can take care of my family without that extra stress on my shoulders. I’m forever grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and big hearts.

If you need honest mechanics who truly care about their customers, Mike’s Auto Mechanical Shop is the place. I will recommend them to everyone.

Comment : Great experience! First the technician was able to identify and fix an issue the dealership previously was unable to identify for over a month of effort. Staff were friendly, communicative, informative and timely. Cost/ hourly rates were comparable, would highly recommend!!!

Comment : We were visiting during Thanksgiving week and had an issue with our Ford diesel truck. Cody was the best and took care of us from start to finish with great customer service! They were able to diagnose and fix our truck in a day so we didn’t have to extend our trip unnecessarily. We would highly recommend Mike’s Auto Clinic to anyone in the Nampa area!
