Comment : I?m editing to share my most recent experience. My alternator went after a recent snowstorm. Midas was able to get me in same day, however that?s where the positives end. Two days after the replacement was installed I got a battery warning. I took it to Jack Williams and it was discovered that the nuts hadn?t been tightened and the electric had been arcing and melting both the nut (see attached photo) and the wires. The mechanic at Jack Williams was able to replace the nut and clean the connections but the battery is now charging too high and will most likely need to be replaced. When talking to them and sharing what I paid they showed me their estimate, which was several hundreds less. When one of their employees called to discuss this with Midas, the response was ?well she paid it didn?t she?. In other words, they knew I was in a tough spot and that I couldn?t shop around, nor did I know what it should cost so Mike purposely overcharged me. I will never be returning to this location, or most likely Midas at all. Taking advantage of customers and then basically forcing them to leave a review (more than once I have had a manager sit down next to me and ask me to leave the review before I leave) is not the kind of establishment I wish to frequent.
