These guys got down to work to find the isssue and even put on a tire I had in the trunk for me. I’m back rolling better than before thanks to Derek and the team. They’ve earned a new found customer. 1 Reviews Carmen brinks Alabaster, AL Reviewed : 10/21/2025 Comment : If your vehicle is under warranty and you wish to have the repairs covered under warranty, do not use this place. We took our vehicle here having transmission problems. We had already spoken to the warranty company who said the particular vehicle was known to have transmission problems widespread and they would cover a replacement. Instead of working with our warranty company to have the repairs covered, this place (Derrick) made us do a full transmission service and flush out first, at our cost, spending over $1000 before he could say the transmission was bad. That didn't fix the problem, then he tried to say we needed to replace all spark plugs to see if that would fix the problem. At that point, we settled our account and told him we would go somewhere else who was willing to get the repairs done under our warranty. Before giving us our printout of services, he made notes on there that we brought the vehicle in "overdue" for service, as if he was trying to show we had neglected servicing our vehicle and make it hard for us to get this repair covered under our warranty. Fast forward a few months, we took our vehicle to Hendrick Chevrolet, and they were wonderful. They diagnosed the faulty transmission and worked with our warranty company to get the repair done. I would not recommend Melton Automotive due to the way this situation was handled! 1 Reviews Gelene luckenbaugh Alabaster, AL Reviewed : 10/09/2025 Comment : Fixed our car in 2 days. Staff was friendly and helpful 1 Reviews John jmaninv Alabaster, AL Reviewed : 06/05/2025 Comment : Just a quick note, I own a landscape contracting company in Pelham and was looking for a shop to service all of our vehicles. A buddy of mine recommended Melton Automotive. Today we have serviced five vehicles, and counting. They do a very thorough diagnostic and then recommend what needs to be repaired. I find that very helpful as we have many work trucks. 100% completely satisfied with everything they've done so far. Derrick has been very helpful in explaining what we need to do now versus what we can wait for later. 1 Reviews Ruth hudson Alabaster, AL Reviewed : 05/13/2025 Comment : Last summer, my 1998 Toyota 4Runner needed a bunch of work. I'd been searching for a honest, knowledgeable, and fair mechanic to take care of my 26 year old baby with almost 190K miles. I'd been told elsewhere that the temp gauge in the cluster was a problem and they couldn't fix it; told me the part was also no longer was available. Well, after a friend recommended Derek at Melton Automotive, I took a chance and I am so glad. They fixed the "non fixable" temp gauge quickly, as well as gave it a look over to fix all the things it needed to keep going for years to come. It just turned over 200K and I now feel like it will go another 200K miles; Derek and his crew will be the ones to make sure that happens. Thanks for making it roadworthy again and dependable. The only thing I wish is that it was closer to my house; guess I'll have to move to Alabaster. Haha Page 1 of 8 |<< 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 → >|
