Both mechanics and the owner of the shop checked them and said the control arms were a little rusty but operationally fine. They had unfortunately heard from a few other customers that MD had tried to "upsell" on unnecessary repairs after the new owners took over. Not sure they will be referring them anymore. Really glad the cost was so prohibitive and I wasn't duped into the repair.'> Reviewed : 08/07/2025 Comment : Disappointed. I was referred by my mechanic who has always been incredibly honest. They don't do alignments so they referred me to MD Auto. Took my vehicle in and was informed they could not align without replacing the control arms - quote was ~$2,400. It's an older car that my teenage son drives so we opted not to invest in the repair. They charged me $30 for nothing.About a month later I had to take it to my mechanic for new front brakes and I asked them to check the control arms. Part of me doesn't want to say how happy I am with this place because everyone will go and I won't be able to get in, but MD is really, truly awesome. The communication is great, they try really hard to work things in when there's an emergency and I always feel like I'm getting an honest assessment. I recently had my brakes and rotors replaced, and Tyler was the main person I worked with. He was incredibly polite and professional from the beginning—kept me updated regularly through phone calls and clearly explained his recommendations when he gave me the estimate. What I really appreciated was that there was no pressure when I decided to decline a couple of optional services. He just respected my decision and moved on.What really stood out, though, was the way Tyler handled things when my car was ready. I missed his original call earlier in the day, and he still followed up just five minutes before the shop closed to check if I could make it. I told him 10–15 minutes, but I ended up being 20 minutes late. Even then, he was super nice when I got there. We even chatted for a bit about the auto industry, and I never felt rushed or like I was holding him up. I really appreciated that level of patience and customer service.
