Comment : Very disappointed in the service and customer service received. We had our truck repaired with Mclean, we were told we needed a brand new transmission in our 2015 Chevy Silverado, the total cost of repairs and labor was over 5,000. When we got the vehicle back after a week and a half, which was only supposed to be 3 days, the results were not as expected, the truck was still not downshifting or changing gears as it should, it was having the same issues as it was before we took it in for repairs. When we took the truck back to Mclean, it was then diagnoses as having leaking transmission fluids in the yolk, at the end of the drive shaft and needed another $400+ repair. After taking to another local dealership it was determined that the seal should of been replaced when a new transmission was installed. The new dealership also questioned if the transmission really needed to be replaced in the 1st place, vs just having the yolk and seal replaced, to correct the lunging of the transmission. Mclean refused to fix and seal the leak at their expense, stating this was not part of the transmission, it was just a part that feeds into it. If you are removing the driveshaft to install a new transmission, any reputable mechanic shop would and should verify that when a part is removed, that the pieces are in working condition, you took it off, it is your job to make sure it is installed back in the correct position, with no leaks. After talking to others, they had similar issues with Mclean, as in their vehicle going in for repairs, and when they pay and pick up the vehicle, the same issues are occurring and they are told they need additional repairs. Seems very strange, when you are told the vehicle will be taken in the shop and looked over to diagnosis any problems, the problem is isolated and repaired, then all of a sudden there seems to be another issue, that was not visible with the original diagnosis. We should of went with our first instinct and took the vehicle into our local dealership in Paola. But we wanted to spend our money and help out the local businesses. Just beware, before you spend your hard earned money. Also the repair of the leaking seal was $23.00 at Paola Napa, and we repaired it ourselves in under 15 minutes. Truck runs in tip top shape now. Not sure the transmission ever needed replaced to begin with.
