Comment : I had excellent service again today. Thank you for pushing so hard to get my old car repaired quickly. My car needed some big repairs but I was kept apprised of costs and issues all through the process. When you have older vehicles, it can be difficult to find parts and it also requires thinking outside the box. They also repaired the doors on my car and pickup, both tricky! Lyons VIP will help with unusual fixes as well as providing honest advice. A lot of shops won't! Alberto, Chris and Rueben and John were all great! Thank you!

Comment : Very disappointing experience under the new ownership

I brought my car to Lyon's Auto Service by VIP in West Hartford because I needed my windshield washer pump fixed as quickly as possible. Before bringing it in, I made it clear that I could not be without my vehicle and needed a quick turnaround. I was told they would be able to take care of it quickly, so I trusted them and made arrangements based on what I was told.

Unfortunately, they ended up holding my car for about half a day, only to tell me they couldn't complete the repair because they didn't have the proper tools or the mechanic available to do the job. I don't understand why this wasn't communicated to me upfront, before I brought my car in and lost valuable time.

They did not charge me for anything, and I appreciate that, but that doesn't undo the inconvenience and stress this caused. I had to rely on another vehicle, which ended up breaking down, turning what should have been a simple repair into a much bigger problem.

The issue isn't that they couldn't fix my car. It's that I was told they could handle it quickly when, apparently, they weren't equipped or staffed to do so. If they had been upfront with me from the beginning, I could have taken my car somewhere else and saved myself a lot of trouble.

Very disappointing experience, especially under the new ownership. Clear communication and honesty about what a shop can actually do and how quickly they can do it matter. Based on my experience, I would not recommend them.

Comment : Jim did a thorough and complete job on installation, balancing, and alignment. I will definitely go back for other auto services.
