Comment : Let me begin by saying that the actual work that was done on the car was good. I went in for a very simple, rotate and balance, and they did exactly that.

Now, for the reason that two stars are missing…

The service advisor who helped me was plenty kind enough, but I was definitely taken aback when he insisted that I go out to the vehicle with him so that he could get the data and the details from it. To be nothing short of blunt, I’m not interested in helping a service advisor do his or her job. If a person doesn’t know how to find all of the information on the vehicle alone, then perhaps a bit more training is in order.

When The work on the vehicle was finished, no one called to let me know. They simply fired off a text saying that my postservice inspection sheet was ready for review. Only because I was a service advisor for nearly 10 years, did I know that that meant the vehicle was completed. Anyone else would probably have sat around, wondering if their car was ready until they phoned in to find out for themselves. A courtesy call to inform the client that they can pick up seems like the simplest of measures to ensure a great experience and timely manner of payment and pick up.

Lastly, when I did pick up the vehicle, I noticed two things dangling from underneath the passenger side. It turned out that the technician had forgotten to reinstall the caps for the lift points underneath the vehicle. I had the joy of laying on my back in the parking lot to reinstall the caps, when a technician came and asked if someone forgot to put these in. I simply replied, yes, and that I wasn’t impressed, and the gentleman just turned and walked away with no other words spoken.

We’ve been bringing our vehicles to the Waimea location for years, and took a chance on going to the Kona location because they could get us in sooner. I would go back, but I surely hope that someone reads this review and takes measures to tidy up the ship.

Comment : Asked for Safety Check without appointment. They were able to accommodate me very quickly. Said it might be an hour but was finished in less than 30 minutes.

Comment : It was just a rotation, but I went in to have my oil change. They said they could do the rotation? But they don?t do balancing! They should tell the customers to go next-door to the tire shop for rotation AND balancing. If you bought the tires from Lex, you?re entitled to the free rotation, AND balancing. Other than that great service.
