I expect that. Checking a door window that is not going up straight is not. I was told special machine was used to diagnose door and the door was not disassembled because it could fall to pieces. Anyone could tell the motor worked. And I was told they special tool showed positive voltage bla bla bla. Everyone knew the motor worked. You changed for a diagnostic that did not happen. You did not look into any thing also. I don't think you even checked voltage. If you did you wasted you time. You left the window down every other shop would have at least put the widow up. You just quoted me the price of replacing everything and said you did a diagnostic. A lot of shops just quote you everything to fix a windor, motor, window regulator/ actuator, switch maybe a few other items depending on model. What they don't do is charge 85 to say it all needs replaced.Update after called them back as requested on review. I asked to explain the diagnostic and what it entailed. They told me the world do all the electrical test regardless and then open the door panel if that was good to see what the issue was. For us the door was not disassembled because they said it could fall all apart and brought up that cable again. I asked what would the cost be if you did have take the door apart. I asked because they said that's what their diagnostic entails. I did not get a response. Regardless too what one shop or the next does these people admitt that did not do all of what their diagnostic entailed. Quick Google search showed the window regulator does not take a cabel. Went ahead and took the door panel apart. Guess what it didn't fall to pieces and no cable system. In the original post I said their prices are not outrages well their not cheap either, so I could see people will use them we probably used them if they would not have tried to charge a diagnostic fee. They did say they take the daignostic towards fee towards the repair price when we paid. I took that into accout. Agian not over the top, not cheap. We noticed that other reviewers said if your a women don't go their. I did not get involved until payment time so I am inclined to beleave those. From what i was relayed from my female friend was that over the phone she was quoted 900. I am certian they will deny that. That was why i was called because that is extreme. When i arrived the price changed to 510. I was not on the that call i was goning to leave the second hand info out because i wanted to stick to what i knew 100% was wrong. After reading a few reviews and talking to top dog, think it is relevantAnyway it was the regulator kind of obvious the clip that attaches to the window was broke and the regulator was bent, likely caused by running the window after the clip broke. The door was dissambled before me. I could see the plastic was pulled away from the factory sealant, used car though so who knows when that happened. Long story but, yah this place is diffently not a grade A shop. They are close to dealerships so I am sure they get enough sub work when those shops fall behind combined with enough plane Jane fixes to keep the reviews and business up. I think you should go elsewhere if you need repairs though. Don't feed the beast.'> Reviewed : 05/13/2025 Comment : Not, a good place. Some of the prices seem in line with the surrounding area. Lawrence is not known for great shops compaired to lenexa or topeka. They might be good with basic repairs, I would not know. Be extracautious. This place charges diagnosticsfees that most great shops would not. Story and prices change all over the place. I'm pretty sure they claim to have checked things they did not. Wish they put labor hours on invoices, but not many places do that anymoreIt is common to charge for hvac diagnostic, fog machine ect. I expect that. They fixed my starter, breaks, and belt within 2 days to get me back on the road.It cost a crud-ton but I know it could have been so much more elsewhere, they didn't sugar coat the prices either. They were very upfront which I greatly appreciated. As a lady, they never made me feel dumb or try to swindle me because I am a woman. They made sure I understood EVERYTHING.To summarize:The ENTIRE staff is very kind, and understanding, but above all immensely knowledgable. They give estimates quickly and the work is done in a timely manner.I'd give 10 stars if I was able to.'> Reviewed : 05/06/2025 Comment : These guys are pros!I came in knowing I had an issue and they did an all around inspection. Some things didn't need to be fixed right now and they told me what was urgent and what wasn't urgent to be fixed.I had to drive out of town that week.
