Upon my discovery I reached out promptly letting them know that a core safety component of the vehicle they sold me was compromised I was told they would not assist in repairs. It is incredibly disconcerting that I will now have to spend nearly $1000 to make the vehicle the sold me safe and road worthy. My boyfriend bought a car there, and we've been struggling for six months to get the license plates. They've been deceiving us and lying to our faces for six months. They told us the warranty was for three months, another lie, because it was only for one month. During that time, the car had a major breakdown, and even though the warranty covered almost everything thanks to us acting quickly (because, of course, they washed their hands of everything), my boyfriend still had to pay part of the repair costs. The staff does nothing but pass the buck and blame each other to avoid taking responsibility. The 30 day warranty is enough to start to see the lazy, corner cutting mechanic work they do to resell. In the year ive hard my car, any work I need done requires extra steps. They constantly use the wrong pieces or simply whats available. My most direct examples are using a different assortment of oil filter nuts, and lug nuts. No consistency with spec or even with the other nuts itself. They do it quick to resell without caring for spec. Some nuts are loose enough to nearly hand remove while others are so tight that they break equipment (either the car, or the tool) to even remove. Whether its stripped, reverse threaded, or some other unreasonable error, whether the seller is the one who made these adjustments before kuni buys it, whatever the reason. For what is being charged buy a certified dealer on any vehicle I expect quality and care. Not lets do the bare minimum to get this out the door for a few months and let the buyer deal with the bull later down the line. Its frustrating. Its not what I would do if I ran a used car/new car dealership. Its not right. Knowing that I have 0 warranty or any ground to argue with the company to assist in costs, this is my only means to voice my disapproval of ever buying here. Beaverton, OR Upon arrival at Kuni, I test drove the M4 with Alex, he filled up the tank and we quickly completed the paperwork so I could drive it back to Boise. I get in the car to leave and can't figure out how to turn the car stereo on. Ultimately the amplifier wasn't working and Judd McCune and Alex agreed I can still drive to Boise that day and Kuni will pay to have it fixed in the Boise area. Kuni ended up having to pay a significant amount of money to the BMW dealership in Boise to have it repaired. Because I had completed all the paperwork before I found the issue with the amplifier, I thought Kuni may fight back and not pay the cost to replace the amp. That didn't happen, Judd and Alex kept their word and paid the bill. I obviously really appreciated that and recommend going to Kuni due to them being honest.Things to know about Kuni/ BMW of Tigard:They are a no haggle dealership. They likely use market data and "clicks" to price vehicles, starting high and coming down in price until the vehicle sells. This ultimately worked out in my favor because I waited for the price to come down below what I was willing to pay for it. But I could have lost the car to someone else. They also did a significant amount of work to the car before I bought it including a rear brake job that would have cost me thousands to complete separately.Since purchase:The M4 has been serviced again and has a few issues needing fixed due to the miles and age of the vehicle. Everything from the original inspection at BMW of Tigard was accurate, no hidden issues found. I also added a 2nd set of wheels (666m) with summer tires which I recommend if you're not buying a competition F8x M4.Overall, I had a great experience with Alex and Kuni Auto Center and feel fortunate I bought my M4 from them.
