Comment : there should be a negative stars rating option. if you want bare minimum work to be done (and that's still if your lucky) then this is the shop for you! I went in because i had damaged my driver side caliper from hitting a curb. i knew for fact that there was something wrong with the brake system and i wanted them to check it out. my fuel efficiency had plummeted by about half, there was extreme amount of excessive heat being produced, Loud high pitched sounds and also a burning smell had started. also wanted the engine and cabin filters replaced. and the mai sensor and valve cleaned because I had a sensor tell me something inside of it was getting stuck open which I figured was from carbon buildup or something. they only changed the filters. wouldn't clean the MAI sensor/valve because as long as whatever it was was getting stuck open then it wasn't a big deal they said. and as for checking my brake system, specifically my caliper, they seriously said my brakes were brand new and everything was fine! less than a week later I ended up getting a flat tire on that same.wheel and the place I took it to to replace the tires also replaced my calipers for me and my brake pads after questioning my intelligence level by asking how I didn't notice all the symptoms/red flags that something was wrong!! when in fact I did! but unfortunately I had taken it to an incompetent shop by the name of Kohl Motors that had reassured me that everything was fine. for shame, kohl motors, FOR SHAME

Comment : Dropped off my Mercedes for my scheduled service on Monday via night drop on Sunday night to have my check engine light analyzed. No contact until I called late Tuesday and was told they haven't looked at it yet, but hoped to get it in Wednesday. No contact until I reached out again late Thursday and was told that they hadn't gotten it in to look at yet, but maybe Friday. Four days after my SCHEDULED appointment and they couldn't find 15 minutes to connect a code reader to the car? I told them not to touch the car and I'll be in to pick it up. I will never return or recommend this shop. Unprofessional treatment of a previous customer.

Comment : Good mechanical work, but outdated/inflexible payment policy that unfairly impacts military families.

I recently brought my high-mileage 2008 Tahoe to Kohl Motors for some significant repairs—alternator, rear main seal, valve cover gaskets (including the updated driver’s side cover), and sway bar links. The quality of the mechanical work was solid, and the truck drives noticeably better.

However, the payment experience left a bad taste. I wrote a personal check drawn on USAA—a national bank commonly used by military personnel—only to have it rejected because it was considered “out-of-state.” My home address is local, and I’m a military retiree originally from this area.

What’s worse is the way it was handled: the person at the front desk (who is apparently one of the owners) even called the bank to verify funds while I stood there, but gave up and said, “they won’t talk to me.” I was left with no other option but to pay by credit card and absorb nearly $100 in added fees. Unless you have $2,000+ in cash on hand, you’re stuck.

I respect long-standing local businesses—I chose this shop partly for that reason and because they did some work on my truck earlier in the year—but this payment policy seems especially unfair to military customers. With a Naval Construction Battalion base, Keesler Air Force base, and Stennis Space Center nearby, many service members and retirees bank with institutions like USAA or NFCU. A little flexibility or a heads-up would have gone a long way.

TL;DR: Solid repair work, but if you’re military or bank with a national institution, be warned—you might be forced into using a credit card and eating the fees.

Comment : I brought my car in for an oil change. The oil leaked out within 2days and I had to add a quart of oil. Kohl's repaired the leak and told me they brought all fluids up to the proper level. Later that day, my car alerted me that the oil level was low. I had to return to Kohl's and they added a quart of oil. At first they said it's probably a sensor, but that was not the problem. I was expecting them to reimburse for the oil I purchased as well as compensate for the 2 additional trips to straighten out the problem. They offered bupkis. So, I recommend that you thoroughly inspect your vehicle before leaving Kohl's.

Comment : Had service done getting an ac condenser put in and ended up failing, the quality of the parts are extremely poor and I wouldn't recommend them one bit. I called to question about warranty and was told it was out of their hands, upon me doing the job myself the welds were leaking refrigerant and it literally looked like someone sat on the condenser or something because it was bent and twisted. I called them and explained that the condenser failed and everything and was told to shut up and it's my problem and to not contact again by the owner!! Very unprofessional place and scam artist

Comment : I do not judge anyone and this may be a very good shop but I give you my experience to hopefully save anyone else from the same situation. I had several issues with my Mercedes SL550 of which I only wanted Kohl to repair two items. Being a 2007 model, I called ahead to make sure they could replace the hardtop acuator and the AC compressor. The lady I spoke with ask the shop and she said they could make the repairs. Since I had to drive a considerable distance, I made an appointment so naturally I thought my car would be taken into the shop upon my arrival and my car would not sit out. My work order requested a call from the mechanic after the issues were diagnosed to let me know the results and the cost of the repairs. After two weeks of waiting I became concerned and called to see if they had diagnosed the problem. I was told my car was too old and they were just too busy and to please come pick it up. I was utterly amazed since I had called first to make sure they could do the repairs. Two days wasted delivering the car to them and returning to pick it up.I do not judge anyone and this may be a very good shop but I give you my experience to hopefully save anyone else from the same situation.
