Comment : I had broken down in the middle of a long road trip while pulling a trailer. It was miserable cold and I had checked into a hotel to hook up my computer and weigh my options. Finally figured out that I was going to have to rent a small box truck from U-Haul so that I could at least take my trailer along with me and finish the trip. I called Van Dyke's first and they said that they could look at my car but didn't normally work on the type drive train I had (mainly because of the specialized software required). I brought them the car while towing my trailer the short distance from the hotel to their shop. They let me park in the back out of the way while I retrieved the U-Haul. When I told them I was going to Uber, they insisted that they would be happy to drive me to the rental location. After driving the U-Haul back, I moved my stuff over as well as the trailer and resumed my trip. They ran the basic diagnostics and saw that they would have to have the ridiculously expensive software to fix the problem, which we agreed made no sense. They helped facilitate the car hauler to get the vehicle back to my home state.

These guys saw a fellow in a bind and jumped in with both feet to help out. They will never know how much I appreciate them. God bless you guys.

Comment : It can be difficult to find an honest car repair shop -look no further than Jim Van Dyke's in Washington Court House. Everything here is above board, honest and upfront. If they can't fix it, they'll tell you, if they can, you can have every confidence that it will be done right, and for a reasonable price. 25 years in business is a testament to their honest and the quality of their work.

Comment : Jim always keeps my vintage FJ Cruiser running like new. His mechanics always have sound advice, and they understand the economics of the situation. This was only an oil change but those characteristics apply to any maintenance or repair. They always get it right.
