Comment : Dealership falsely advertises available cars. Bait and switch scams to get your information.

Comment : A few months ago, November maybe, I was in for my 5,000 mile service and was told my front brakes were at 4 MM. there was no mention I needed front brakes. In late February I was in for state inspection thinking I was going to need front brakes. When I picked up my truck I very surprised to hear it had passed inspection WITHOUT new brakes. In March I traveled to SC with my travel trailer for 5 weeks. On the way home I noticed noice coming from the front end and it sounded like a brake issue. I brought the truck in for its 5,000 mile service and told the service rep about the noise and to please check the front brakes. The service rep asked me if I wanted the technician to test drive my truck to help determine the noise issue. He told me it would cost $100 for a 5 minute test ride. I declined and told him to just have the tech check the brakes while the truck was on the lift. When I came to pick up my truck I was shocked when told the brakes were fine. I drove the truck home knowing there was an issue. When I got home I scanned my invoice and the tech had written my front brakes were “metal on metal.” Why did the service rep not pick up on this and tell me? In conclusion, I told the service dept at Irwin Chevrolet at least twice that I believed there was, and still is, a front brakes problem and no one picked up on it. Now I have to take my truck back to have the brakes done. If I need new rotors instead of having them simply “dressed” I’m not going to be a happy camper. Also, if additional damage was done because of this neglect I believe that is on you folks. It appears there was a communication breakdown between service tech and service rep or this would not have happened. Lastly, on Thursday I called and asked to speak to the service manager about this issue. I was told he was in a meeting with people from GM and he’d call me after the meeting. He never called on Thursday and he never called all day Friday. I have a pretty bad service history dating back about 10 years when it was Cantin Chevrolet so I’m a little nervous/skeptical.
