Comment : I am thankful to have been referred to Troy and Huntingtown Automotive over 10 years ago. Since then, I have also referred my father and brother. Troy will tell you exactly what you need to do and what is unnecessary. His honesty is very refreshing! The prices are also very reasonable! It is very easy to schedule maintenance appointments on the phone with Russell, but they will also work you in with car emergencies. Another one of my favorite things is to be able to walk the short path that Troy created to have coffee and a treat at the The Lobby coffee bar. Comment : I ve been to this shop a few times, they are always nice and professional. The prices are reasonable and they don t sugar coat anything, they tell you the way it is. The cherry on top would be the sweet German shepherd! I will definitely be returning here. Thank you Huntingtown Automotive :)

Comment : I really love supporting small local businesses so I hate to have to write this review, but I feel like I have no choice. We took my wife s car here for multiple relatively minor repairs that were discovered while getting brake pads replaced. We went to pick up her car before the shop closed only to discover that the car had not been taken into the shop to be looked at. It is understandable to get backed up and busy, but we had a scheduled appointment and they did not contact us to let us know that it could not be finished. The car was dropped off the night before and the parts were ordered and in stock for the repairs. Strike one. We rescheduled against our better judgment for another day in the future, and the work was completed, or so we thought. The oil change we asked to be done was not performed. Also, we were told that the tires (that were little over a year old) were worn on the car, and it was implied by an employee that it was most likely the driving style that wore them out. Great customer service. Strike two. We ended up taking her car for an oil change (since it wasn t done when asked for at Huntingtown) at a different quick lube spot. Upon inspection, we were told that there was a substantial leak by the valve cover gasket. Imagine our surprise because this was a repair that was supposed to be completed by Huntingtown. Strike three. So we ended up having to make our fourth total trip to Huntingtown Automotive to get this finally remedied with an additional part that we somehow had to pay for. All in all, our experience was a complete failure. Customer service, shoddy/incomplete repairs, having to pay for those missing repairs, and taking off three days from work instead of one leaves a very bad impression. Very unfortunate.

Comment : The two stars are solely because I was quoted an accurate price and they have a wonderful old german shepherd who greeted me upon arrival. He was so sweet :). They also pointed out that I needed new tires asap, which I had not realized and was appreciative of. However, I have two issues with my visit. First, I had a front end realignment done and was told afterward that it would probably still be pulling a bit due to my car s age and wear, but that it was completed to the best possible extent. I had the car into another shop about three weeks later for a different issue, and they immediately recommended a front end realignment. When I told the new shop I had just had one done, they were very surprised. I did NOT have this new shop complete the alignment, and I later had a friend, who is knowledgeable about cars, take a look and they agreed that it looked like an alignment had not been done recently. I have an older vehicle and expect things to have to be maintained often and understand that the maintenance may not always be perfect, but my hope was that the alignment would be done to the best possible extent, which it does not seem it was. Secondly, they locked my keys inside of my car when I was coming for an after hours pickup. I had to call the non-emergency police line to have the vehicle unlocked. When I called the next morning to let the shop know, I received a half hearted apology followed by a response of I was the one who put the keys in there and I never locked it. I understand that mistakes happen, but it was the lack of sincerity and accountability that will keep me from using Huntingtown Automotive in the future. Overall, I will not be returning to Huntingtown Automotive and wanted to post this for anyone else considering them. I suspect they usually provide better service than this but that was not my experience unfortunately.
