Comment : I thought I was having my car towed in for and estimate. They called and I approved the repairs thinking this would take days. Its not even 5pm on the same day!! As I write this with the car working perfectly in the driveway! And far less than I expected.

Comment : I had good experiences in the past but $1100 just to update the computer in my car and clean the throttle body. Just to look at the car was $200 so I couldn't back out after dropping my car off since they were already going to charge $200 but didn't expect this much of an upcharge.

Comment : I replaced engine oil there yesterday. They charged me 9 dollars more than the price on their coupon. I asked the reason. They told me that they could charge additionally for their supplies: 3 dollars for supplies on the parts-they didn't explain what part(s) they supplied: 6 dollars for labors-hazardous materials. I believe the fee for the hazardous materials shouldn't be charged because the job was already included in their job scope.
Also, they gave me an estimate to replace the engine oil cooler, from which they said oil was leaking. I asked if they could replace the gasket and an o-ring instead of replacing the whole cooler. They said no. I found a repair shop that could replace the gasket and the o-ring only. The price difference is 4 times. Honest-1 is too expensive. I feel that I wouldn't visit the Honest-1 any longer. They changed a lot.

Comment : They should now be called Not So Honest One. I used to go to the Gresham location all the time when Aaron was there but the crew there now is horrible. I had my sister take a car in there that we bought for her to have it looked over. The guy did not know how to process the Groupon. He claimed it was only for oil changes when it was in fact for the VIP package. He then told my sister the vehicle needed new pistons (though there were no sounds indicating piston issues). He told her that there was metal in the oil (but could provide no proof without charging for a dye test). He said new tires were needed (despite Les Schwab saying days before the tires were at 75%) and overall said it was an $800 car and we had been taken advantage of. He further told her that this used car was in worse shape than her other car that needed a new engine. I asked for a detailed estimate outlining everything that needed to be done and the order it needed to be done, but at best I got a small list of items at the end of the receipt totaling approximately $1,500. There were no breakdowns as to labor vs. parts, etc.

Upon taking the car to a competitor of Not So Honest One, we were told they were unable to find any of the issues that Not So Honest One had indicated needed to be repaired on the vehicle. In fact, we were told the car we purchased was "decent" for an older vehicle and it just needed to be driven. The only thing they could find wrong with the vehicle was that it would eventually need struts (something that Not So Honest One failed to mention from their inspection). They also charged 1/2 of what Not So Honest One charged for their inspection.

When Aaron ran the Gresham location, it was a different group of people and I felt like I could trust the individuals working there with any of my vehicles. There is no way I would take any vehicles back to Honest One after this ordeal - wanting to charge for things that did not need to be done and then missing what would need to be done at a later time.

Comment : Had work done on two vehicles. Had issues where work took longer than expected. Had two different customer service desk people to deal with. Both handled the situations about the same. This is huge. I am satisfied with the work and the customer service.
