Comment : Use caution taking your vehicle here. I brought my truck in for a brake inspection and quote for necessary repairs and ended up with a completely unauthorized full brake job that was $5,000. Besides the unauthorized work, I experienced unnecessary diagnostic fees and poor quality repairs that I’m paying for now.

I brought it in a separate vehicle earlier for a check engine light. I had several visits to fix the problem and it cost me thousands of dollars before I realized they either didn’t know what the problem was or wanted to keep billing me for more work. It was always one thing or the other and I’d drive it down the road and the check engine light would come right back on. Later on, another mechanic said it was obvious what the problem is and was able to easily make the repair. My review matches the other poor experiences.

Comment : Our van broke down in Columbus, 150 miles from home, and it put us in a massive bind. After calling around to several shops that couldn't even look at us for a week, we finally got a hold of Hometown Service in Westerville.

Tim, the owner, was a total lifesaver. He asked a few questions over the phone and told us to just get the van towed in and they?d take care of us. Since it seemed like a complex electrical issue, I was honestly braced for the worst, expecting to be stuck for days or overcharged for 'ghost' repairs because we were from out of town.

Instead, Hometown got our van into a bay immediately, pinpointed the problem, and fixed it for a very fair price. Tim's honesty and integrity was a blessing. He knew we were vulnerable and far from home, yet treated us like lifelong neighbors.

If you need a trustworthy mechanic near Columbus or Westerville, do yourself a favor and check out Hometown Service. They are fast, professional, and genuinely good people. Comment : Wanted to thank Tim for his assistance on my car issue. He spent the time to do research on my issue, work the supplier network and find the needed parts at a reasonable price. He also was calming, easy to work with and solutions driven. If you want a repair shop that will truly work with you in an honest fashion try to use Hometown.

Comment : Excellent experience! I had the Winter Service Special, air filters replaced, and sunroof repair work performed on my 2018 Honda Civic Si. The work was done the same day I dropped it off, as promised. No attempts to upsell any other services which I greatly appreciated! I will definitely be going back when my wife's car is due for maintenance.

Comment : I is sad to write this review bc I have using this shop fir 10 yrs. However, the service had drastically declined. I asked to find x items are on brakes bc I drive my children in this car. I wanted to make sure it was safe to drive my children. They said it was fixed charged me and a day later the sane brake lights came on. Why? I can hear a swush sound as I tap the brakes to pump it up to get a good pressure… definitely not fixed as they said.
