Comment : Part 1I purchased a new Ford F-150 from Haley Ford of Chesterfield, VA in October of 2024. During the purchase they were very nice quick and efficient. About 2 weeks after I had the truck, I noticed under the hood the clear coat was starting to blister and pop. Unluckily my wife at this time had hit a deer with her current vehicle and we were in the market for a car for her. She fell in love with a bronco sport that Haley Ford had on the lot. Again, purchasing was great, they worked the numbers quickly and we were out the door. Before I left, I asked the managers about the issue with the hood on my F-150 as it was about a month old at this time. They seemed to care less about the problem but gave me the number to the Haley Ford Body Shop down the road.I contacted the body shop in early November to discuss how this should work as the truck was well under warranty and only had 1,700 miles on it. I went down to the body shop about an hour from where I live, they took pictures and told me that they had to send it off to Ford Corp. for approval. They quoted me about 2 weeks till I received an answer and they would get in touch. 2 weeks go by and I still haven t heard anything so I call them up to find that there is no update and they would be in touch with me as soon as anything comes up . (Sure .). Weeks later (just after Christmas) I call them up to see what the status of this is, I speak to Penny (the body shop manager). She tells me there has been no up date and that Ford Corp. is dragging their heels and that they are waiting on recall parts etc. for multiple customers. I decide to call Ford Corp. to determine the issue, while speaking with the Ford helpline they show that nothing is in the system for me and 3 way call the body manager. Suddenly she (Penny) is in high gear and makes an appointment for the hood to be fixed on the 19th of February at 330PM.February 19th 2025 the Day of the hood is to be fixed a large snow storm hits the Richmond area. Around 9am I call the body shop to make sure they will be open. Unluckily for me I am told by the receptionist that the previous manager (Penny) was let go and they have no record of my hood being ordered or that I had an appointment. The receptionist is very nice and apologetic about the issue and seems to understand my disappointment, lets me know a new body shop manager (Casey). Casey is very understanding of my issue and will do her best to make it right. I tell her I want to speak with the general manager as while it wasn t Casey s fault this fell apart. The General Manager (Lavar Person) should have some accountability. On that day I called 3 times, each sent to his voice mail box never to be returned.Casey had me send her some pictures of my truck and the issues with the paint, this was quickly resolved as 2 days later magically Ford Corp. approved a new hood and to be painted! Still I wanted to speak with the General Manager, and called an addition 6 times, 3 times were to a manager that told me he would forward my message, once to the assistant/receptionist (Debbie, very nice lady) who said it would get passed on and finally 2 times to a voicemail box that is FULL!! Good news finally hits on March 3rd 2025 Casey calls me and says the hood is in and we schedule it to get repaired the following week.
