Comment : I wish the tech had directly addressed my concern and online findings regarding my unusual AC problem. There are car forums, including Hyundai's car forum, that discuss my exact problem as a common issue with Version 3 Hyundai Santa Fe ACs, where damper closings occur after an hour of operation for no apparent reason. The part costs $50 compared to a $200 diagnostic fee. Additionally, the forums indicate that the problem does not display error codes, so scan tools are ineffective. Now I find myself looking for videos on how to try the fix myself.
