Comment : I recently traded in my '22 Genesis GV70 for a new '26 GV70 at Genesis Waipio. I had the pleasure of having Ken Smiley as my sales rep and Sean "Chico" Ortiz as the sales manager. Both of them were awesome to work with.

I have made more new car sales purchases in my lifetime than I can recall to count, and each one was an entirely different experience from the others. I would say this one was one of the best of all of them. The trade in offer for my car was fair, the sales price was fair, and they had the car I was looking for when I wanted it. The entire transaction from my initial phone call to driving away in my new car went very quickly and very smoothly. When I picked up the car, it had a ceramic coat applied and the windows were freshly tinted. The brilliantly shiny Ceres Blue GV70 was parked on the showroom floor waiting for me when I arrived.

Being a fellow veteran, as soon as I met Ken Smiley, I felt I could trust him to be honest, friendly and as knowledgeable as anyone would want from a sales person, and he did not disappoint. I highly recommend "Smiley" if you can get him as a sales person. I think you will have the same experience that I had since he really knows his job, as one would expect from a former member of our military.

I purchased my last Genesis from Honolulu Genesis because of its proximity in town, so I was a little leary of driving out to Waipio to give this Genesis dealership a try. But a good friend of mine had purchased a new GV70 last year from this dealership, and he convinced me it was worth the drive. I am definitely glad I did. And the drive from town is almost all freeway, so it's not as bad as one might imagine. I'm hopeful that their service department and concierge service turns out to be as great as their sales department. I'll be back to comment after I find out.🤞

Comment : I had an outstanding experience purchasing my GV70, and a big part of that was thanks to Vaughan Richardson. From the moment I walked in, he was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through every detail of the vehicle without ever making the process feel rushed or pressured.

What stood out most was his approach — very low pressure, patient, and genuinely focused on helping me make the right decision. He answered every question thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. Vaughan was also extremely accommodating and went out of his way to make everything smooth and stress-free.

Buying a car can sometimes feel overwhelming, but Vaughan Richardson made the experience easy, enjoyable, and even exciting. If you’re considering a Genesis, I highly recommend working with him. You’ll be in excellent hands.

Comment : I can’t say enough great things about Genesis of Waipio. Every time I’ve brought my Genesis in for maintenance or repairs, it’s been a true VIP experience from start to finish.

Jeff, the Service Manager, is outstanding. He’s professional, attentive, and genuinely cares about making sure everything is handled smoothly. He communicates clearly, follows through, and makes you feel like a priority every single time. I also want to recognize Thomas, a former Service Manager, who set that same high standard of care and professionalism. It’s clear that customer experience really matters to this team.

Car issues are never fun, but they somehow make the entire process feel easy and completely stress free. What used to feel like a hassle has become something I don’t even worry about anymore. I’ve never had high expectations for car dealerships, but Genesis of Waipio has exceeded anything I could have imagined.
