Comment : How long have you been in business? I knew a Gary Johnston, I believe from 40 yrs ago who was an excellent mechanic. Are you the same.

Comment : NOT RECOMMENDED They did a decent job with the repair - as expected. My husband and I felt they weren't on the up-and-up about surprise repairs they said they found. By exaggerating the findings, charging an exorbitant price and offering very little information to back up the reasoning. We had to press for information. That felt odd. BUT - they charge $139 to look at the vehicle then they do NOT waive that if you have the repairs done. Nothing illegal or unethical - just really BAD business strategy. And the final charge was WAY more than expected!! We found out later we would've saved a few hundred through our usual repair place. And it would've been guaranteed/warrantied. We only used Gary Johnson because of their reviews and the we thought the transmission needed specialized repairs. We should have stayed with who we trusted - we didn't know they did transmissions. So we will go back to Hometown Auto in Owasso. They are the absolute best, most honest around. And, they waive extra costs if repairs are done through them.

Comment : Made an appointment to bing vehicle in. Met with Dustin the service advisor. He gave the name of the mechanic who was going to look at my car and told me they would be in touch to tell me what was going on. About 3 hours later, Dustin calls to give an update and explained there was a little more that needed to be investigated. Two hours later I was contacted about the diagnosis and the costs it would take. They sent me photos of the issues and a report . I was allowed to call back and give the notice to pproceed. They give AAA discounts and also have on line coupons. I got my car the next day. The staff was very nice, the office was clean and the prices were reasonable. I really like how they explained what was wrong with the car, what it the toh would take to fix it, sent photos for proof and the turnaround time to finished the job. All done in 24 hours.
I will definitely give them my business again. You should too.

Comment : I’d like to begin by saying that the staff at this location were polite and patient. However, based on my experience, I believe this business operates unethically and may be taking advantage of its customers.

I purchased a vehicle from DriveTime, and shortly after their 5-day return policy expired, the vehicle began experiencing significant issues. It would jerk aggressively when accelerating or decelerating, and the sensor system malfunctioned. I brought the vehicle in for repairs, and it took months before I got it back. The repair shop claimed the delay was due to issues on the dealership’s end.

Despite being told the transmission had been fixed, the problem persisted. I brought the car in again, and they blamed the issue on the rebuilt transmission provided by the dealership. After the third repair attempt, the issue remained unresolved. Finally, on the fourth visit—conveniently after my warranty expired—the problem was quickly and effectively addressed.

This pattern made me feel as though they were deliberately delaying proper repairs to take advantage of the vehicle’s warranty coverage. I was without my car for nearly a year, yet I continued making payments the entire time.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place. In my opinion, they repeatedly failed to resolve the issue, provided misleading explanations, and left me with a vehicle that was unusable for an extended period.
