Comment : Took my vehicle to them for a new starter. They installed one that immediately started giving me issues. Had to have my vehicle towed to the Toyota dealership who tested the starter and told me it was defective. Went back to Galaxy and they agreed to put in another starter. I had no issues for two years. Then suddenly- again - my vehicle wouldn't start. Took it to the Toyota dealership and - you guessed it - the starter wasn't working. A new starter is supposed to last 7 - 10 years. My guess is that their strategy is to use aftermarket parts and pray they work. Yes, you'll pay less here than at the dealership but it's just not worth it.

Comment : My car died and Triple A sent me there to get it repaired. Before towing my car, Triple A tried replacing my battery to confirm it was not a battery issue and said the new battery would be $110. The new batter did not work, and they checked my battery and showed that it was 12.7 volts (good) and decided the issue was somewhere else. Galaxy automotive claimed that my battery was melted and send me a picture of a different battery to prove it. My battery had a red sticker on it and the battery they sent had a white sticker on it. They also initially said that looking at my car would be $55 but changed it to $65 when I went to pay. They replaced my battery that was not melted, lied claiming that it had been picked up two minutes after showing me there pile of batteries that they took from cars to try and find my battery (until I mentioned the large sticker and the guy realized he couldn't show me a different battery). They then charged an additional $180 for repair time and $155 for the same battery from AAA that costs $110. All in all, these people are exceptionally dishonest, so make sure to take pictures and keep records so that they cannot cheat you out of.a few hundred dollars like they did to me. You could also use another mechanic if you want someone honest.

Comment : Ibrahim Ishak (sp) runs this place. AAA tow truck driver said Galaxy could fix the engine issues for cheap. Turns out the tow truck driver has referred probably all his tows to this place. Long story short. Ibrahim said it only needed a battery and alternator for $700 (2006 Hummer H3) and I did not authorize it. He was only authorized to do a diagnosis. My wife called AAA who starts an investigation and records the conversation...he said the truck was fixed but she never signed anything or paid anything. He yelled at her and cursed at her on the phone. THEN HE TOWED THE VEHICLE TO THE AUSTIN POLICE IMPOUND LOT (we live in San Antonio) and we get a certified letter saying we have to pay $400+ to get the truck out of storage!!!! Or we can file a lawsuit in Austin to make him pay for it!!! I would not trust this shop to put air in a tire. STAY AWAY!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SEE YOU IN COURT!

Comment : They tried to charge me $124 to replace the brake pedal stop--a part that costs $5 at autozone and is pretty simple to install. I wouldn't ever recommend going to this place. They ended up charging me $62 just to diagnose my problem. Major ripoff.

Comment : Tried to overcharge for a whole assembly when i only needed a single part replaced. They told me the single part didnt exist but it was at autozone among other sellers. Charged for a diagnostic but didnt even have the decency to put the pieces back together. They tried to charge $850 for a $150 part (the part they lied about not existing was $30-$50 not even $150) and $200 worth of labor totalling $230-$450. If your AAA towing guy recommends this place and you happen to read these reviewz please go literally anywhere else youll be much better off. I personally feel conned $65 by galaxy.

Comment : I gave this shop a chance because of the AAA Tow truck driver spoke very highly of this shop... However, the shop didn't have the right machine that was compatible for my BMW! So it was at the show over 24 hours for no reason! I also had to call to get any update other wise my car would probably still be sitting there! He also charged me to run a test on my car with a machine that wasnt compatible to test my car...  That bad part is I read the revises and they were bad but still gave it a try! Two thumbs down!!!
